To be able to move in Czech Republic, a lot of expatriates think of buying a car, whether new or second-hand.

What are the formalities to buy a vehicle in Czech Republic: car registration, insurance, etc.?

What are the relevant authorities or organizations to contact?

How long does it take and what are the associated costs?

Going to Prague and want to purchase a new car for our family that lives out there, and I need to know how that can be done with American currency and/or financing if needed. We plan on leaving the car there for our family that lives there.
