Hi,

When settling in Ethiopia, one of the priorities is to be able to make phone calls.

How to proceed to get a landline installed in Ethiopia?

What are the mobile operators?

What is your average monthly budget?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience,

Maximilien

Better to have Prepaid or Postpaid SIM cards ,if you phone at home you can opt for wireless instrument available with ETC.ETC is the only service provider in Ethiopia.

As far budget is concern , call rates for international calling is quite expensive.

Hi,

Can you let me know are there any unlimited voice plans for daily bundles? How many operators are there? Can we get a ADSL internet connection with good speeds?

Thanks in advance.

As far as i know there's no unlimited voice plans. There's only one operator, ETC. You can get DSL connection with OK speed, but not great stability (meaning connection drops from time to time).

Also, with the recent ethnic wars going on in Ethiopia between Oromo/Amhara and Tigray, ETC sometimes shuts down the entire internet.
