Making phone calls in Norway

Post new topic

Maximilien

Hi,

When settling in Norway, one of the priorities is to be able to make phone calls.

How to proceed to get a landline installed in Norway?

What are the mobile operators?

What is your average monthly budget?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience,

Maximilien

Hello,

Landlines are being phased out in Norway, and very few people have on any more. There are several mobile operators e.g. Telenor, NetCom, Onecall, MyCall (which is good if you plan international calls), Chess, Tele2 ...

The cost usually depends on how much data you want to have. For examples the packages on NetCom vary from 199 NOK per month to 649 per month. Details about the different packages are available on their websites (many also have their websites in English. MyCall offers their website in several languages).

Skype and other such services are also good if you plan to call abroad.

Hope that helps.
David
