chicha2015

My partner and I have moved to london; however are taking 6 months out to travel around Europe. Can anyone recommend a storage comapny which doesnt require us renting a van or something? Its not much only 5 or 6 boxes worth. We have found http://www.storagecollect.co.uk/ but are unsure seeing as it is a birtish company how it works. Anyone got any tips?

Thanks

I have also found a similar company http://www.onestopworldwide.com/ they may even be affiliated. They seem to be the cheapest options out there

I've no recent experience of storage in the UK; however, over the years I've picked up a few points.  Don't store anything you can't afford to lose, even the best and most respectable companies suffer "leakage", where stuff will vanish from a sealed box and nobody has a clue what happened and by the time you find out, it's long gone; in the current climate, the Police won't be interested and will just give you a crime number to use with your Insurance company; my advice is to ship irreplaceable items back home to family.  Anything else, insure it, most storage companies offer insurance, but read the small print; check out the excess you'll need to pay should you claim; cheapest is not always best.

Hopefully, somebody on here has recent experience of who they used, to share with you.
