Any Physical Therapists/Rehab Specialists in South Jakarta?

Hello

I have pain spasticity in my right calf/ankle/foot.  (The spasticity is the result of a medical condition, so an injury or flare up of the condition will often result in the tightening of the muscles and sometimes eventual formation of scar tissue).  I had to have PT for this same issue along with my back 10 years ago.   My leg has been tight ever since I sprained my ankle 3-4 weeks ago and I've been trying to stretch it.  I just did leg press machine stretches at the gym which I think finally helped, but tomorrow I'm sure it will tighten up again.  Massages have NOT helped.

Do you know anybody with a physical therapy or rehab background here?  Even a good personal trainer?  I have one recommendation for a trainer at the Kristal where we belong to the gym, but I haven't been totally impressed with any of their staff or services.  Last time I checked, SOS did not have any physical therapists, or neurologists here.   Also, I should clarify, the medical condition that caused this is neurological, so I would not use a chiropractor unless very highly recommended, and trained in the US or other Western country.  Even then, I would really hesitate.  I have seen ads for a stroke hospital, so I will check their services for rehab services, a neurological background is desirable.

Really not wanting to be doing PT when I return to the States for Christmas.

Thanks!  Also...if I find somebody in the medical system, how does that work...do I need a referral from a doctor, or can I just make an appointment?

It seems there is a place called East West Rehab that is recommended.  So, if I have SOS insurance would I go to the SOS clinic and get a referral?  That seems like what I'm supposed to do to have insurance cover it.  My husband is new to this company/job so I'm kind of in the dark!  He is pretty unhelpful in getting helpful information from his company, so I know this seems like a stupid question, but I will be lucky if I get a straight answer from them.

Hello,

I dont know if this may help you but I know someone who is a Medical Rehabilitation Specialist. I think she can help you with therapy and if its caused by neurological she can handle it because she usually handles patient post-operation. Available at Rumah Sakit Pondok Indah, dr. Laura. Hope it helps!
