Can anyone advise if expats are allowed to purchase property in Saudi Arabia ?........I mean outright purchase not lease.

I am new and would rather buy than Rent, but not sure what the rules are.

rareshine

not unless you are a foreign investor.

No, This will be for personal use and for family....not for investment.

You can purchase property to build a house, but it's a tedious and painstaking process to get it done...You need some approval and special permissions from the Saudi govt, The housing ministry and so on...

If you do succeed let me know so that I too can purchase  :D

I have bought propert in Turkey and there was a lot of information available to make a decisive judgement, but I cannot find anything like that in Saudi.
I just want to know the process of purchasing from exsisting properties or build on a piece of land.

Ahourani

Dear Haya, yes, absolutely. be sure that you're doing the best solution by investing real estate property, I'm just wondering about the validity of selling option and other conditions.
I'll tell you my latest updates please tell me if you find out any related to the same subject.

Best,
Ahmed
