Dear All,

I used riyad bank credit card since 2012 and its limit was SAR-4000, I paid every month & i moved to changed a new job in sep2013..after changing a company even i pay continue and credit card was expired in may 2015..i stopped to pay that same time so anything will happen if i didn't pay.. :o:(

Why would you stop paying simply because the card has expired? Your action reminds me of the old joke about the woman who told here husband that their bank account couldn't possibly be overdrawn because there were still checks in the checkbook.

Despite the fact that a credit card expires the debt incurred on it doesn't simply vanish. The bank has every right to take legal action to recover the outstanding balance owing, to include your name on any official list of non-payers, it will effect your future credit rating, and may even cause immigrations problems in KSA.

There is some system limitation in the bank perhaps. Once, it occurred to me that I could not pay my bill simply because my iqama expired. It is ridiculous that a bank would not accept payment just because so.

Anyway, on your situation. What expired is just your plastic card, and it should be replaced should you wish to continue with the bank's credit services. I'm sure your account is still active and they still have your record in their system. They should not have any problem pulling up your data when you make an appearance at their counter to settle your obligation.

What would happen if you don't pay your debt??? Well, it could take quite some time before they roll up their sleeves and start looking for you to get you paying. If they can't find you anywhere in Saudi Arabia, they will get a hold of you in your home country via their legal partner to notify you to settle your outstanding debt. Worst case scenario, if you don't pay your debt, the legal partner will recommend filing legal charges against you in KSA, and that may cause you some immigration issues.

Regards.
