Hello, i am a Surgeon working currently in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and wanted to know if anyone has made that transition from Saudi Arabia to Ireland before and if it would be a wise move considering that the salary in Saudi Arabia as a surgeon is higher (30% more) than in Ireland. What would be the pros and cons of moving with a family and kids in primary- and highschool?

Thanks in advance.

I would stay where you are. The climate in Ireland is a lot colder than Saudi.
Do you get housing. medical insurance, school fees, transport and other allowances in Saudi.?
You may well not get these in Ireland.
The transition may well not suit the children as the education system will be a lot different too.

Are you saving money in Saudi? You may not be able to save as much in Ireland.

Thank you for advice and reply
Yes I am getting that allowances except for school  and I am not saving money with international school fees for my 2 children and 3rd one in university.
