It is easier for him to go there with working visa.

I hope you could help me out :)

Hi there, I'm a newby here. Hope to meet up with some expats here in Yokohama for a couple of beers and a good chat (in a language I can understand  ;)  )

twocatexpat

I'm new here. I'm from the United States and am very interested in relocating to Japan. I am currently intensifying my study of the language with hope that it may make me more marketable. My work experience is mostly in IT support, but just recently completed a MS in IT Management. My focus is more toward web development and design though, but want to keep an open mind. TEFL is an option, but I think I might have limited access to programs recruiting teachers which I can explain elsewhere if necessary. I am just wanting to learn how accessible the job market can be for foreigners outside of education. I am open to both urban and rural settings.

What kind of help you need Sir,

mizenglish

@Grandimperial Fukuoka is a great city. There is a great Latin scene so if you're into music, dance and great atmosphere check out the Tiempo Iberioamericano. 'Isla de Salsa' is also coming up soon so you might meet great people there too. Good luck!! Enjoy Fukuoka for me. I miss it so much!

cariatan

Hi Nicholas,

Good day.

I am Ai Lian from Malaysia. Currently still work and life in Kuala Lumpur.

I saw you are from Malaysia and now work and live in Chiba Prefecture of Japan.
May i know how long have you been staying there?
How easy do you think to adapt the culture there?
Do you think is difficult to make friends in Japan?
Do you prefer to work and live in Malaysia instead of Japan?

Warm regards

Priscilla

@  cariatan > As this thread is for the introduction of new members, maybe you should contact Nicholas in private so that he can better guide you. ;)

If you need help of other members as well, please feel free to create a new thread on the Japan forum and to ask your questions.

Have a nice day,

Priscilla

Grandimperial

@mizenglish hola! Thanks for the heads up and the awesome tips.. I'll definitely check it out. Tomorrow is the Yamakasa Festival and it should be crazy. I'm going with a couple of friends. Fukuoka is an amazing place! I would like to see more of it though so yeah if you have more to suggest, pls let me know? Thanks again.. I also plan to travel around Kyushu then maybe hit Kyoto, Narra, Osaka and other places..

Hello everyone! I'm from New York City. I was once in Tokyo for a week and I have to admit I truly liked it. So now, I would like to live and work in Tokyo for a couple of months, with a working holiday visa. As I have a few questions, I'm here to find answers and discuss topics ;)

Englishclover

Hi I'm Karen! I have been living here in Osaka for almost 6 years now.

I have been running an English school for 2 years and it's my third year this year. Hopefully I could meet someone here who loves teaching and share their story as well when it comes to teaching English to Japanese kids.

Hopefully could find a good teacher to work with me as well in the future.

Googlybear12

Hi, Are you Filipino?

mikeyouragent

Hello everyone!

I am originally from the United States, born in North Carolina, lived in Pennsylvania prior to moving to Osaka.

I am currently employed at a real estate company.

Looking forward to meeting new people and discussing a range of topics. I am fluent in both Japanese and English, but I feel my English is getting worse lol.

Cheers,
Mike Bennett
