Hi everybody!

I will maybe have the opportunity to go working in Jakarta as expatriate during the next year.
My boyfriend and I are found of kitesurf, and I would like to know if you know some good spots in Indonesia, especially in Java.
Do you know if the conditions of winds are good? how often? are the spots easy or dangerous?
Are there some kitesurf schools?

Thanks in advance!
I hope to have the chance to join you soon!

Christine

Hi

Welcome to my lovely country.  I am Desy and living in Jakarta.

I believe you have heard a lot about Bali.  Guarantee will enjoy this island.  Honestly speaking no idea about kitesurf but in Bali you can find fantastic beach and spot.  Not to mentioned about four hours by boat you can across Bali to Lombok island and again there you can find good spot for kitesurf.

However, if you interested to try somewhere in Java then my recommended just try Pelabuhan Ratu beach which is in West Java and around 7 hours by car if I am not wrong.  The other options is Panaitan island which is somewhere closed to a place call Ujung Kulon, and again in West Java.  For your info this is the web address: lineupexplorers.com/surf/index.jsf

Apologize can not give you more info about kitesurf but trust me that there are many good spots in Indonesia and they are pretty dangerous too and challenge such as in beach in Menado and Ambon.

Anyway just came to my country and find the exotics atmosphere here.

Bye..
Desy
