Use of VPN in Qatar

Bearby

Hi,

My husband and I are moving to Qatar and we have heard that the use of VPN to bypass censorship and blocked websites is very common in Qatar.  We know very little about VPN and are hoping to get some help from the forum.

According to what I read on the internet, some people suggested to use a VPN provider who keeps no logs and has its servers located in countries that have few censorship laws.  Additionally, the servers should be close enough for faster internet connection.

Our question is which VPN provider is the best option given the aforementioned considerations?  We are currently living in Canada so we hope to continue to access our Netflix account in Qatar. Please help.

Many Thanks,

Bearby

Google HMA or H.M.A.

It works well. You can buy an annual subscription for about $60.

Hi, I use a VPN to enable us to watch UK TV and it works well. There are many to chose from, the provider I use charges a once yearly fee.

Good luck with the move.

Hello bearby yes, your concern is genuine but be sure to have a clear vision on why you need to us a vpn. Most of the people just want to use it cause they need to unblock restriction. The most important thing is to have privacy while using vpn otherwise there are tons of free add-ons of VPN
I have tried HMA it has disconnection issues, and their server are not that many in multiple countries, plus their dialer is quite messy. I prefer using PureVPN
One of my friend who was in Qatar Airways as a senior technical consultant, suggested me their website purevpn.com
And the support team on live chat helped me buy the right plan, as i am a traveler. They have separate plan for each of it. If not purevpn, go for Ivacy, their server list is huge, plus they're new and giving good discounts

Hi furqunrizman,

Thanks for the recommendation.  Do you know if purevpn supports more than one device?  My husband and I both need connection for our computers so we need at least 2 connections.  Can you still watch Netflix from your Canadian Netflix account (if applicable)?

Thanks,

Rayto

No Problem anytime :)

Don't buy IPVanish. I made the mistake of not doing my due-diligence before clicking the purchase button. Their services are blocked in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region.
