I would like to share with you two bits of information :

(1) 7-seater vehicles like the ones which you have mentioned cannot be owned by expatriates, unless they can furninsh proof that they have a large family.

Yes, there is such a rule. It is better that you confirm the same at the car dealers showrooms. They will advice you on what is the latest update on this subject.

(2) The colour of the number plate is not the buyers choice.

Commercial vehicles are issued with the red number plate.

Private vehicles get yellow number plates.

Brand new and yet unregistered vehicles are issued with temporary green number plates.

So if your vehicle is for personal use, then you will only get a yellow number plate.

Yellow plate registration number plate giving for personal name.                       Company name they will give red plate.

We can register 7 seater car for personal use in oman
