Dear All,

Is this mandatory to link mobile sim to your
Fingerprint ? STC has announced it I have seen many people standing outside the STC office .

Yes. not only STC, mobily and Zain too.

Postpaid users will be obligated as well, not anytime soon but soon.

I was reading somewhere that the valid numbers working in KSA are 52 million -- for a population of 30 million. Guess how much chaos the finger scanning will cause

Let us wait and watch. The sure thing is: It is coming soon.

Yes, but for now just prepaid only.

Remember the time when CITC asked service providers to register prepaid users against their ID...exactly that same situation is about to be repeated.

To avoid fingerprint now, better to upgrade to postpaid.

Three weeks ago, I got a data SIM and router from STC and it was a real pain in the %$^! because their systems weren't ready to match prints to the MOI. I went a couple of times a week before I finally got it done. Now that the systems are up and running, it's a fairly simple process.
