Unfortunately for various reason the majority of the criminal activity here in PR goes unreported to the outside world. I assume it's the negative impact on tourism. Tourist go missing here all the time with no real investigation. It's unfortunate because when a situation happens naturally family and friends want answers and they come to PR in search of justice. However, the reality is local authorities are not going to provide justice for a few reasons. A. Police are known to be connected to cartel. B. Police are very low paid and simply don't do their jobs or are they made to. C. discrimination unfortunately is a factor and reality. (I deal with this daily). D. Police don't want to investigate too deep from fear of backlash of cartel to themselves and families.

Basic RULES if you live in PR.

1.OWN a legal firearm.....You and only you are your own 911 .....No ones coming to save you but you!

2.If someone you know goes missing or killed here....GO STARIGHT TO THE F.B.I. period!

DO NOT waste time with local authorities. Trust me they DO NOT care.

I know on the surface its easy to slip into (this is paradise mode) and that's normal, however always remember someone is always watching you waiting for you to make a mistake.
