i think u guys are all mad, ive never been to a place which i hated more than dom rep...it does help to have an extremely annnoying mother who lives with u and is like a dictator, but the country itself is so backward with millions of obstacles, u cannot do any business or open a shop as they all go bankrupt, plumbers, handymen, and so on never turn up..u send emails they dont reply, people are ignorant and bordering on madness...traffic is enough to drive someone wild..motoconchos give u heart attacks 10 times a day..mosquitos feast on your blood freely and regularly..the so called amazing caribbean beaches are full of garbage of all kind, seaweed and polluted water..my mum paid for my ticket here and i finished all my savings..i teach english and i have one student only...im dying to leave and stuck in this prison..under the hottest sun which is pleasant in the mediterranean region but here its unbearable and the humidity is 99%..i cant think of anything that attracted expatriates to this land except maybe for the easily available hookers and escorts...seriously how do i get out of here apart from begging..
