Hi folks,

So i will be moving to Malta in the next couple weeks and I've accepted a job with potentially pretty high commissions on sales and I'm counting on it to nicely round up my income at the end of the year.

But I was wondering, will I be taxed on my commissions?

They should be paid to me every 3 months, so how would it work then?
Would I be taxed on my base salary and commissions separately or all together?

Thank you all in advance for your help on this matter!

As commission is part of your total pay, I would think it would be taxed in exactly the same way as your normal wage or salary through the PAYE system if you are taxed at source.
If you account for your own tax by filling in the annual tax return it would be a part of your total taxable income.

Mmmmh...
So either way, I'm gonna be taxed on my commissions. Too bad!
Well, I guess I'll just have to sell more to get a bigger commission then :)

Thank you very much for your quick post Ray!
