Where is the best place to buy a sofa in Libya?

I've been to Ben Ashour, "Jama3 AlSaga3" and a few places in Hay Dimashk. The really nice ones are over-priced and the cheap ones look like they'll fall apart within a month.

Where can I find a nice sofa for a reasonable amount? We're looking for around a 7-seater/4x4 and preferably a corner one (in the shape of an L).

I'm interested in knowing as well. I heard that there is a place that sells Ashley Furniture in that same souk area. Does anyone know the name of the shop and its exact location? Better yet, has anyone purchased anything there?

I just went sofa shopping, went doen the Ben Ashour area found everyone was essentially selling the same pieces. Ended up at a place close to our villa just at the top of Shara Sareem (sorry for the spelling but it sounds like it reads) next to the Western Union sign. Good quality, decent price (he will deal if you dont need a tax registered invoice), includes delivery. Picked up 8 seater dining room table, 10 chairs, outdoor furniture and U shaped sofa which will fit around 8-10 people - spent 3,700 LYD.

Another option is the second hand shops just off Omar Maktah (again sorry for spelling) going north to Shara Sareem (basically if you are at the Italian restaurant on Omar Maktar near the fairgrounds and go up the street that has the Mosque on the right hand side there are a bunch of shops next to each other where there are some good bargains. We picked up a Foosball table and some cool 1930's Italian chairs for dirt cheap there.

If you are coming down the Gargaresh towards town just after the mental hospital (Long White wall opposit carrachella cofee shop)
there is a turning on your right and then a huge furniture shop have a look in there always lots of different things.

Not just this shop but quite a few on the gargaresh in general
