Bringing a car along?

Hi all,

I was thinking about bringing my car from the US to Egypt. Did anybody go through this already or know the ins and outs? Is it pricey? Worth it? I'd really appreciate your advice.

I did a quick Google search which I suggest that you do. There are companies who will ship or air freight vehicles. You can contact them for a quote.

Air freight costs would be expensive. On top of freight costs there is a 45% import duty, a 15% VAT, insurance, then car registration and insurance once in Egypt.

Shipping would take around 45 days.

Yeah, that's what it looks like. I'm still optimistic though. I'm very attached to my car. Hopefully, I could bring it. We'll see. Thanks for sharing!
