Insurance coverage in Laos

Kenjee

Hello everyone,

Moving abroad requires adequate insurance coverage.

What type of insurance expatriates need the most in Laos: health, house or liability insurance? All of them? Do they come as a package?

Are there other insurance options to consider like critical illness, damage or property insurance?

Is it better to purchase insurance from an expat insurance specialist or from a local insurance provider?

And what about insurance costs?

Tell us about your experience in Laos.

Thanks!

Kenjee

As an expat it is best to have a good medical insurance cover as the better hospitals are in Thailand.

There are two companies here in Laos, AGL and Allianz who are partners. They cover all types of insurance from medical through to travel etc.

Costs vary according to variables so best to check online for costs or ask for a quote.
