Hey, I want to spend some time in Egypt soon, but I can't decide on which area or even which city to stay in! I'm thinking either Cairo or Alexandria  re: area, I'd prefer to stay in a nice, quiet and safe place ofcourse, and not so many tourists but not too far from the city centre. Hope you guys can help me out :)

I'm not looking for work or sun really, I have enough of that in Libya lol. I want to get a feel of the country and it's people, that's why I'm asking after an area that's not so touristy.

I think it's better to be in Cairo
less tourists and u can find many calm places

ebcmarwan

So if you want feel of country so you can stay in Cairo,
welcome to Egypt and welcome to cairo

Shorouk

How long will you be coming for, Cairo is modern in many ways  with a real mixed bag of ideals and concepts, the people are in general really great.but you must visit some of the rural villages to truly grasp the heart that drives Egypt.

ebcmarwan

u r from Libya so its like being in same country except that Egyptians are poorer and more intrusive

i suggest to go for Zamalik- Cairo, it is the best in Cairo, Safe, Quite, Old, beautifull and in the center of Old Cairo
