I am not sure about schools opening again in S. Ca.
My SIL is a teacher and even she is confused about if they will open or not.
Many years ago when we had our "tiff" with the LA county school district my husband cursed them saying they were useless and children could learn what they needed over the internet.
Hmm, didn't know he had such far reaching powers... Looks like sooner or later it will be a one program system worldwide for children.
These are weird time for sure.
Noticed at Aldi that the masks are back in full force. The fine for not weaing one is up to 500,000 forints.Guess no one wants to mess around with that bill.
Thinking of going to the lake this week, my husband is now turned off to Balaton due to the water quality.
Even that is confusing, it was said it was even safe to drink the water there just last year, what's up with the world, maybe whatever they spray in the air has ruined the water?
Beyond me.
Speaking of the enviornment .Read yesterday that Keith Richards has just adopted 1km of ocean to save the planet!
What, I wonder if I can buy some sky for myself?
Keith Richards and saving the planet just don't seem to mix, something is "fishy" with this story to me.

Your hubby sounds like quite the prophet. Â
Hard to see the opportunity though in some things. I was sitting in an office in the early 1990s looking at some web pages I could access and thinking, this is an interesting curiosity and maybe I should learn about it but then I thought, nah, other things are more useful to know about. The pages I was looking at? Amazon.com !!! I should have got involved with Jeff Bezos and bought shares in Amazon. But same with Microsoft and Google. Missed the boat.
That COVID19 is driving everyone I know somewhat bonkers. I was thinking, yeah, we're getting back to the new normal and suddenly Spain is blocked by the UK. While that's not here in HU, it's significant. I was hoping to go to the UK but now I'm not sure if I go I'll be stuck in quarantine and not be able to come back.Â
Mrs Fluffy is saying we should go back to Balaton but I'm unsure if that blue-green algae slime slick has dispersed.  I've not seen the insect spraying plane this year at Balaton. Around here, the spraying planes are usually based at the local airfield here and I've seen them spraying over Szentendre Island. But not around for a while which is a shame as I like to see that kind of plane flying (Antonov AN2). They fly North up towards Esztergom and spray all around that area.Â
Keith Richards of yesteryear was living on another planet never mind saving this one. Quite the drug user him and Mick Jagger. I was really into the Stones in the 1970s and I remember being horrified we'd be cut off from their music because Keith was being arrested all the time with the threat of being banged up for drug offences - thinking his jail time was going to be significant, like years as the cops had him pegged as a dealer.Â
If anyone was an advert for not indulging it was him.  I can only describe his face as well and truly lived in, sunbeaten and weathered, leathery and haggard looking. Like he's been living outside as a beachcomber in Northern Australia and had a bit too much UV/sunlight.  Even perhaps the face only parents could love. He might have had a facelift as he had a surprised look at one point.   I read online a while back that he's worth $500M !!
Yes, I have been a fan of the Stones since my older sisters brought in the old 12x5 LP and played it till the grooves were worn out.
Not a fan of their personal lives however.
Keith and all his bragging about going to knife or shoot someone and getting punched in the face by Chuck Berry sort of sounds like a st,punk low life sort of guy.
Heard he wanted to knife poor old Brain Jones but MIck stopped him.Still think those 2 had a little something .something to do with the death of Brian Jones. Many fans think the same.
Time and place I suppose for a ,"rumble" but coming from him it just seems so fake.
I found it strange and funny to read about him adopting some ocean.Keith Richards saves the world, now we really are in big trouble!
500 Million ? Mick is richer...
We went to Velence yesterday, also no news on Balaton so we will go closer to home for now.
The water was nice for murky Velence yesterday, just the right temp for a few tries at swimming.
Lately I do about 25 to 30 mins of swimming and try to get in 3 to 4 rounds each trip. Guess that's a good hour or more of swimming for the day.
Don't want to wear myself down as usually I start to get cold before me session is over with.
Got mad yesterday and did something I hate doing, flipped off another women.
Got to Kelenford station from the train and went down to the subway. My knee had been hurting for a few days so my gate was a bit slower then usual. Husband for some reason was full of energy and trodded ahead of me a tiny bit. Got down to the subway and the car was already there and loading up. I was just a step behind my husband, he got on and then some lame brain middle ages women pulling a suitcase cut me off and jumped on the train. Doors closed before I could get on.
Mad as heck. I thought my husband would just go on to our station and wait there for me. I called his name as the doors closed in my face and the women looked right at me, just enough time to flip her the bird, jerk!
My husband later told me he heard her on the phone talking to her friend because she had lost them at the station, well she sure set off a chain reaction of misery.
I was mostly mad because we do not carry cell phones, I looked like a wet rat still in my beach outfits plus most important, my husband was carrying my ID, I had no money on me, no ID and no house keys.
Was so afraid I may be asked for my ID at some point on the subway.
Guess I'll have to start carrying my own items and not just my beach chair.
Velence isn't half bad, it was really peaceful we found a quiet shady tree and chilled for hours .
We had thought about going to the Philippines this fall but I have read they are now making tourists wear a RFID braclet, and ankle braclet like a criminal. Have to download where you will go and how much you are spending will be monitored on the RFID thing as a record of everything you do and everywhere you go is followed by the gov.
No thanks! Not like we had planned on any illegal fishing, hunting or visiting the red light district but the idea of being watched is not for us.
We missed the boat on buying stocks as well. Used to have some mostly in Sea World stock.Sold those a long time ago.
My friend, Lisa, the one who just passed got a ton of Apple stock from her mother.
Too bad she didn't live long enough to enjoy all the money her mother left her, just heartbreaking, she never traveled out of the US and never missed a day of work.

I hope my groove never wears down. Being less groovy will make me lose my street cred with my kids. That might be delusional. I might not have any street cred with them.
I think perhaps Velence is a better bet. I'm not seeing any algae reports like weather forecasts. I did come across a satellite picture showing this swirling false colour algal bloom. Yuck. Nothing much recently posted about that recently. We need to know.
I've been to the Philippines a few times. I was there in February during a couple of nights transit. It's an interesting place but I was in a hotel in Manila in the downtown area (Intramuros). I had an argument with the security staff as they wanted to take my kettle off me. I told them nope, it's mine, explain your logic which they couldn't so I kept it. I would fight to the death to keep my kettle.
Couple of days later after some R&R in the hotel (me sleeping and watching TV and surfing the net), I took the bus back to the airport for an early evening flight and what a total dump. I didn't remember it like that. Mrs Fluffy and I were there a month or so way back as I had a job on there and we did a bit of travelling around much to the irritation of my colleagues.  We were in a posh area then but my last hotel wasn't very nice. I much prefer Bangkok so won't be in a hurry to hang around in Manila any time soon.Â
They can keep their RFID tags. I should point out that us foreigner devils get fingerprinted entering the USA. Not criminals so why do that? Immigration cops are crap everywhere. Obviously I know the answer why they fingerprint but it's not nice to do that to anyone. I find it very offensive and disrespectful. UK doesn't fingerprint US visitors or affix tags on people.Â
Talking of old rockers, I was looking at Fleetwood Mac and the demise of Peter Green, an original founder and great guitarist. And Lindsey Buckingham got the boot (not sure what he settled for). I think my Mum used to call Mick Fleetwood "Lurch". He looks a lot more ordinary now.  Even grandfatherly. Â
Peter Green had drug induced schizophrenia and ended up in a mental hospital. Does happen even to famous people. Look at Britney Spears and Margot Kidder. Could happen to anyone.
The reference to Apple made me remember that line in Forrest Gump where Forrest says he has investments in fruit companies one of which is is called Apple.  One of the best movies Tom Hanks has ever done and an unlikely hit - imagine the pitch being hard to swallow. I like him but not his wife Rita Wilson (in fact, I cannot stand her). Both Greek citizens now.
We had wanted to stay on one of the outer Islands, Cebu City maybe?
My cousin lived there for over 10 years, his wife is a local. They moved back to the US less then 2 years ago and had planned to return to Asia after his wife got US citizenship.
Hope they don't hold their breath!
My son's Japanese wife was there in the US for more then 9 years, he did all his taxes, had letters from people stating they are a "real" couple. had years worth of photos to show immigration ect. They don't mess around now with fake marriages like people did in the past.
He paid his last payment of $900.for her citizenship test and they were just waiting and waiting on the gov. to give her a date for testing.
He had enough of waiting so they forgot it and just moved to Japan.
So much money and time wasted for nada.
Wonder how many billions of dollars the gov. makes off of this waiting game?
Not ragging, rather happier today. Finally after months and months of "the check is in the mail" we got our little stimulus money.
Mama gonna buy a new pair of shoes!
No , have to check the US exchange rate against the forint, dollar is dropping like a stone, not sure but wouldn't be surprised if it goes below 250. Hope not.
Velence is a good option, the water is clean, I think, just so murky from the silky bottom of the lake.
Saw Fleetwood Mac at some bit music event in S. Ca. in the 1970's.
!975 to be exact, I was about 5 months pregnant and it was hot outside.
Sat all day long waiting for Rod Stewart to do his act.
I dislike him so much now, he got on stage late and played half a tune and walked off stage. He didn't like the sound system.
Good enough for Fleetwood Mac and others but not good enough for him. Jerk.
Never bought another album from old Rod after he slapped us all in the face like that.
I suppose music preferences are set from memorable times in youth, I am around same age I think (a tiny bit younger perhaps), but my life I think was best from 12 to 18 years. In that time music was engraved in my mind. Favourite groups from that time were Uriah Heep, Pavlovs Dog, Jethro Tull and to a lesser extent Deep Purple and Wishbone ash.
Two youtube links I can definitely advise
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz9vif1K6Ww&t=605s (Uriah Heep)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWR0oVi7SmA&t=3578s (deep purple)

Be better off getting citizenship in Canada. The route there can be quite short - I think 4 years.  Whole system is crap. I think the UK is about 8 years - 5 years permanent resident and then 3 years to get the passport.  There's a big thing against immigrants but we're all immigrants in one way or another if we go back to being nomads. I quite fancy putting up my teepee (tipi?) or ger (Mongolian version of a yurt) anywhere I'd wash up on shore but it'd have to be glamping. We glamp in Balaton - tent in the garden. Just for fun really.
Rod Stewart is quite a lad around the ladies. I forget how many kids he's got - about 8 or something and a raft of nationalities. Like the United Nations. He's also got a nerd hobby - model railways. Apparently he's quite good at it.
If my husband had his way we would be living in a yurt on the Big Island.
He is a bit more rough and tough then I am.
Did my time camping in the scouts, wasn't bad but no thanks these days.
2times I backpacked in for a few days each way and set up a tent.
Was 12 the time I was in Girl Scout camp in Sequoia with my troop.
Really fun week but it was so cold at night, we slept in the open air on off the ground cots.
I mentioned before my deceased sister's UK boyfriend was on the weekend "warrior" football team of Brits in Hollywood, Rod Stewart was on the team.
Her boyfriend never let her go to practice with him, jealous I guess.
With some other guy my same sister was in some fancy 5 star restaurant decades ago.
Rod was dining there with some of his buddies.
My sister didn't go to their table or anything so crass but had to walk by to use the ladies room.
As she passed by Rod started to sing out,"Â Hot Legs". She loved it but didn't even turn to smile at him or anything.
Not sure what is up with Rod Stewart songs because when my sister was helping out that crazy HU/RO guy in a wheelchair, he would always "roll" after us and sing, " Do you like my body and do you think I'm sexy". It was so lame it was both sick and funny as heck. Hard not to laugh when he was so messed up both mentally and physically Don't think Rod had that vision when he sang that tune.
Back to camping, could be OK to sleep in a tent if there is access to electric and a shower.

We don't hear much from Rod Stewart back at the Mothership. He pops up sometimes but I guess he spends most of his time slumming it LA or Vegas. Maybe he's got a residency like Celine Dion at some casino or other.Â
That football team was called something like GB or UK Exiles or something like that. Obviously he has a bit of a thing for the ladies - fancies himself a bit even now and probably always on the look out still - old dog and old tricks. Must have been mates with David Beckham as he had that pro team LA Galaxy but I think he's moved to somewhere else. His Mrs, ex-Spice girl Victoria, is quite entrepreneurial. It was the UK Football Cup Final today - no spectators due to COVID19. Very strange. Not as good as it should have been. Quite boring really. Â
I did enough real camping in the military. It's not funny lying in some cold ditch half way up a mountain waiting for someone to come past so you can ambush them - only training. And then there's the rain and mud. You have to sleep fully dressed with your rifle in your sleeping bag as well (if you used the sleeping bag - takes too long to get your boots on). Obviously the gun was unloaded but ready to go.  Very uncomfortable.Â
I've seen modern yurts with satellite dishes on them. So they must have power and presumably capability to take a shower in another yurt next door.  They love their fermented and slightly alcoholic camel milk.  Didn't fancy living with camels myself. Â
BTW, interesting Kefir (not from camels) is becoming popular in the UK. Must be a good thing due to the numbers of people from this region working there. I haven't tried it for years.

I was lucky I guess having 2 older sisters who were some of the first fans of the "English Beat" Beatles, Kinks, Stones, Aniamls all the bands.
Shared a huge room with those 2, mom had leased a house and the owners had converted the garage into a huge extra bedroom.Every square inch was a poster of some band.
Record player going all the time. Our mom worked nights so everynight was music night at our house. Neighbors must of hated us!
My first concert was Cat Stevens, rather low key but had a great time with center seats just a few rows
in front of the stage, went with 5 or6 other girls so that added to the fun.
Saw Rod Stewart when he was with the Faces, that was a good concert, he got all ego trippin' after that.
Stones, silly me can't even remember if it was 5 or 6 times I saw them live in concert. First time was with my BFF, her brother and 3 of his friends, college aged guys.Back in 71 or 72, Exile on Main St. just got released.
First song live was "Rip this Joint." Ike and Tina Turner opened for them, that was something else too, very fun.Nevr laughed so hard at a concert in my life.Mick looked just like a wind up doll.
Sad I really don't care if I ever go to another live concert again . Saw the some of the best and the music now really is terrible.
My mom was pretty cool about allowing us to go to concerts but one time, she drew the line and told me no. Led Zeppelin was coming to town. I was invited not only to go with my good friends but more of the huge school,"Stoner" group were going. Plan was on taking several cars for about 20 of us.
The local news station had warned parents not to allow their children to see them, too dangerous with all that LSD. How in the world did they know our plans?
Saw Zep years later but it wasn't the same as being 16 and going with all your buds.

Cat Stevens I lost all time for when he went all religious. He became a bit of a one hit wonder. He's back on the music again recently but meh, I wouldn't bother thinking about him now.
Led Zepplin and LSD? That's bonkers. Not a band I would have associated with drug taking.Â
Even the Beatles were more into the wacky substances - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. Their Sargent Pepper hippy era.
Even the seemingly benign Peter, Paul and Mary with Puff the Magic Dragon had all sorts of supposed hidden meanings despite the denials.  They used to play it for kids on the radio in the UK for singing along to but when someone pointed out the supposed drug references they supposedly banned it for a bit.
I reckon Led Zepplin is one of the greatest rock bands ever to walk the earth. I am not very keen on the actual people but the music is that of the Gods.
On my summer vacation at age 13 or 14 I was going to stay a few weeks with my sister and her husband .
I walked in the door with my bag and before i could even settle in my BIL had me sit down with ear phones on and listen to Led Zepplin's first US releashed LP at full blast.
I had to pass the Zep test before I could stay with them!
I guess I passed because I moved in for good with them to live when I was 17.
I was fighting all the time with my mom and step-dad plus my sister needed a summertime baby sitter.
Didn't tell my parents however that she and her husband were about to break up and that's the real reason they wanted a free live-in baby sitter. All good, my niece was a sweet toddler.
I used to push her all over Hollywood in her baby pram, I never thought at the time that people might of thought it was my baby and not my niece. Guess that's why at the time people were so nice to us everywhere we went.
Sort of creepy to think that now, hard to imagine being a teenage mother.
We lived in Tarzana , ca in a nice large apt, building. One of my neighbors was 27 years old and had a 13 year old son!!! Found out she used to go clubbing at some of the same old hang-outs my friend and I used to go to. She was a bit more wild then us it seems though. wow, a mom at 14 years old! She told me about how her parents had first raised him as their son but later she took over as his mom. It was strange later to see her teaching him how to drive a car when he was 15-16. They look more like bro and sis then mom and son.

There's quite an age difference between my sister and our youngest brother. When she (aged about 16), my Dad and our little brother went to the supermarket, my Dad and her used to get funny comments - they thought my sister was my younger brother's Mum and my sister was Dad's teenage other half!
I've always told my kids, stay away from drugs and teenage boys who are only interested in one thing. Of the two I'd take the teenage boy rather than the drugs.
When I was at Uni, one of the students had a baby. It was quite weird because the entire class used to help out entertaining the baby on field trips. Like it was a mascot!
I don't really get people who throw their kids out after they become pregnant. It's help needed not punishment.
My father was a serious ,"Player" in his day. He was a charmer and handsome as all get out.
My mother was overprotected by her grannie and 2 aunts and was the perfect target for my father.
Her female relations had his number and used to cuss him out and toss rotten potatoes at him when he brought my mom home after a date past midnight ( the magic hour!).Mom was 22 and found herself with child... Her relations forced her to write a suicide letter to my father to get him to marry her! Wowie, true love at it's best!!
They married but were never suited for each other.
15 years of torture and that was it.
After that our mother was all over any of her girls with dating. Some of the strictest rules ever held up by a none Mormon in the 1960's-70's.
One rule was good grades in school could earn you the privalge of wearing light pink nail polish and lipstick in the 9th grade. !0th grade foundation for the skin and maybe some blush. 11 grade eye shadow in a light color and 12 grade eye liner...
By the time I was ready for any of that it was total Carol King time and all natural. Couldn't hook me in with those perks.
I now sort of undrstand why our mother was so strict with her gilrs but at the time it was sort of embarrassing. Trying to explain to friend who wore stockings why you still had on knee socks.
My eldest sister was 19 and her fiance was 26. He was about the most straight person you could ever know. Honest to a tee and boring as all heck. A serious student of chemistry at UCSB. He even wore a crew cut, white starched short sleeved shirts and a bow tie in the late 1960's! Nice guy but WTH? Mom used to allow my sister even when engaged to sit outside the house after a date which had to end by midnight( that magic hour again) . It was like they have toend the date within 2 mins of parking outside the house or else.If she didn't cut the date and come inside my mom showed some class by first turning on the light outside the door. 2 mins to go, if you didn't high tail it inside by then, the dog would be let out. God help you after the dog came out if you didn;t enter the door within those few moments of time.
After all of that, my mother was holding my 1 year old sister in her arms and was at east 6 months pregnant at my sisters wedding. The standing joke with those in the know was ,"We thought the bride was suppose to be pregnant, not the mother of the bride".
It blows my mind to think about the past and how odd it was.
A few times in the past people thought my son was my husband?! We have a 21 year age difference, just very uncomfortable when people make judgements.

Shotgun weddings I cannot fathom.  What's the point of forcing people together who have fleetingly engaged with each other at that moment? As soon as my youngest ones get partners, they are going on the pill and/or getting a condom lesson.Â

By the time I was ready for any of that it was total Carol King time and all natural. Couldn't hook me in with those perks.
At least you had some freedoms that mattered - my mother never let me wear eye liner or nail polish either.  Well, she never helped me. Put it that way. Seriously a problem for a wannabe punk/rocker/rebel. I was far too conservative for KIÏŸÏŸ but more the early Marc Almond look. Â
We've come full circle there to Hungary (Gene Simmonds).

Sounds like Nerdville and something out of a 1950s movie. Anyone wearing a bow tie needs mental health assessment unless it's one that rotates like a propellor, preferably with flashing coloured lights. Strangely enough my Dad started wearing a bow tie suddenly when he was about 80 but we think he was being eccentric so he was given a free pass.  BTW, eccentricity is to be encouraged!Â
I've come to the conclusion nowadays that as I approach the big 60, that I will never wear a tie again - ever. Technical people never wear ties (usually). They get an exemption at the tie/grey suit robot department.

Ever seen the movie, Father of the Bride 2 ? It mirrors that scenario. It's one of the only movies I've ever actually left in the middle of. Mrs Fluffy and I saw it in some old fashioned cinema in Ujpest. About the only time I've ever actually been to Ujpest other than to visit Aquaworld.
Funny thing that after my sister divorced her nerdy husband he came to visit us at my mom's house and he was trying...Grew his hair out a bit, wore a t-shirt and some Love Beads.
Nice guy but too strange.
I was 12 when they married.
Used to spend several weeks during summer at their place in Isla Vista, up in Santa Barbara. Super Hippie place at that time. Hippies everywhere and I had to walk around with Mr. Nerdy...
Once when they had some riots there and the Bank of America was burnt down, the police chased a few rioters through my sister apt. They ran into her back door through her kitchen and living room and out the front!

Love beads - cool. I hope he was wearing a kaftan, shaggy beard and was humming the Age of Aquarius and had a tendency to dance on a small hillock.
I see riots in Kenosha. If you saw the video of the shooting one has to wonder what is going on in these places.  Not to make light of the situation but a bit of harmony and understanding, sympathy and trust would be helpful. Shame as it looks like quite a nice place on their tourism site.
The US seems like a free for all ATM.
No wonder my bro bought so many bullets he had to file bankruptcy!
Everyone I know in the states is armed to the teeth, even my ex-wheelchair Hippie friend. She had a 38 and said she just hated having it in the house , but...
Fires, riots, shootings, hurricanes, food shortages, race riots and an election all in one year, wow we still have a few more months to go with the horror show.
For once I am really glad to be in semi safe Hungary, even thinking of looking into citizenship here, see how difficult that will be, everything official here always bites me back.
My son was saying before he left the US for Japan that the US was toast, not sure how he knew but honestly, I am glad he moved now.
Vegas is no longer a fun place, no buffets and pools are closed.
We had a fun time at the lake yesterday, was very quiet overall but then again, after the 20th everyone calls it a day.

Mrs Fluffy and the kids were down at Velence on Saturday 29th and she said it was very busy down there. With the nice weather, everyone must be getting in their final fling before school starts Tuesday and worse weather arrives Monday.
I'm looking at the US news and I see the gap is closing (apparently) between Biden and Trump. I was disturbed to see Trump turn the White House into his personal campaign venue. I thought it was federal property and not to be used to promote such political messages. I also noted that Portland is simmering even more than before and Kenosha and various other places are getting aggro going on. I am a little surprised Trump has a shot at being relected. The BLM protests will be sold as anarchy by Donny rather than legitimate protest.  I despair over more years of Trump and cronies (Orban, Putin etc) ripping off the people and creating right wing destabilising uncompromising regimes across the entire world.  I can also see a low level conflict with China emerging in South East Asia and the UK leaving this phase of Brexit without a deal. Who knows what that means.
I really to worry about what will happen if Trump is reelected, what he will do, but I can imagine there will be a lot of unrest.
SimCityAT wrote:I really to worry about what will happen if Trump is reelected, what he will do, but I can imagine there will be a lot of unrest.
That's the problem with Trump, he sells division rather than cohesiveness. Â
In theory, it's not much to do with us over here but the USA one cannot ignore on the global stage. Of course, the USA never does anything except in its own interest.  If Trump is defeated it's warning one would hope for all of those right wing types so common now.
I continue to be stunned at the ignorance of some people.  Some guy there said at the Republican National Conference:
Burgess Owens, an African-American former NFL player now running for Congress in Utah, said: "This November, we stand at a crossroads."Mobs torch our cities while popular members of Congress promote the same socialism that my father fought against in World War II."
That's my highlighting on "socialism".  Mr Owens needs to get himself a history lesson as he's making a fool of himself. Nazis labelled themselves as "national socialists" (clue is in the name - Nazis) and obviously were fascists, not socialists as we know them these days.
In fact, Russia and Stalin were socialists (and red fascists as well) and they were allies with Western powers (eventually after Hitler stabbed Stalin in the back over the Molotov-von Ribbentrop pact).
If defeated he will not go quietly he is already crying about postal votes and it being rigged.
SimCityAT wrote:If defeated he will not go quietly he is already crying about postal votes and it being rigged.
He already got caught out over funding for the US Post Office. Talk about a perfect storm. The irony of him saying it's going to be rigged when he's the one trying to find a way to rig it.  That's because postal voters are more in the Democrat camp.
I don't know if you remember the rigging allegations in the UK over postal votes? I think only a couple of people were caught doing it. Hardly anyone has been convicted.  It's a small scale problem.
I suppose for my generation, I never bought into the we can change things with our vote agenda.
Was raised a bit <"different" then most of my fellow Americans. My father didn't believe in God after seeing WW11 up close and personal and my mother was at the other end of the spectrum.
We had to get on our knees every night and pray while our father was watching tv and drinking his beer or beers.
Mom always said our vote was nothing and no one had the authority to rule us other then God and the world was under the temp. rule of Satan.
To vote was to play into the Devil's hands.
Extreme but I think she had a point.
People always quote the US Constitution as the Word of God or something holy. Well, in reality when it was written by mostly Freemasons it wasn't written for us average people, no none land owning none white men were actually even thought of when this was put together.
You had to be a white land owning male to even get a vote back then.
Right now the paper is basically worthless and Trump signed everything over to FEMA when he declared a US emergency. We are toast for now, around Sept. 11th it will be about 6 months time from when he signed our FEMA rulers into power. I hope I am wrong but probably more BS will hit the fan then and FEMA will not give back their power.FEMA orders are for only 6 months time then they can be renewed or stopped. 10 days to go, I'll,"pray" I am wrong about everything but these are some real strange times and things are happening fast.

I think I'd go with John Lewis on voting:
"The right to vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful nonviolent tool or instrument in a democratic society. We must use it."
Trump is going to do anything he can to avoid being voted out. He doesn't give a damn about anybody except himself. He's got a vanity thing going on where he could not accept he would be a one term President. He's particularly got a thing against 2-term Obama.Â
I heard a good quote from I think Roosevelt who said he didn't mind if people were talking about him because if they were talking about him, then they weren't talking about one of his controversial policies (whatever it was). Maybe this is the Trump playbook.Â
But we can still enjoy trump's ego being crushed if he lost. How cool would that be?! Bring it on!
I've been inspecting the border traffic during this September lockdown.Â
Unsurprisingly, it's quiet on the border webcams.
Just messaged my friend in Hawaii, Was wondering how her son is getting on with his C19.
He works in a large hospital in Honolulu so must be exposed to everything.
Kids in our local school started back this morning.
I didn't look out to notice if they were masked or not.
Heard 2 cars have a fender bender though...
I'm a bit sad the summer seems over. Went swimming on Friday and that may be the last of the open air swims for this season for us.
I get so cold when the wind blows and I'm wet.
Been doing a detox, 2 weeks with no red wine!! Cutting down on white flour, sugar and no pork.
Lost 3 lbs. without really doing more then cutting back all that sugar.
Going to try for a good month and see if it rolls back the hands of time, if not then why bother?
Now think it is good to do a full house cleaning at least once a year.
My husband is a temptation though still buying candy...
I've told him, me first and then it's going to be his turn for some deep cleaning.
I really do not want to chance getting even a cold this season, no way on earth do I want to get caught up in the medical system in any way shape or form.
Was thinking of going to the dentist for a check up and for a needed eye exam but now not so sure about it.
2 weeks ago I wanted to buy some medical supplies for my detox treatments.
I planned on going to a medical store but my husband got the bright idea of jumping into the shop inside a hospital close to us.
Wasn't my idea but followed him over.
Got to the one open enterance door and before I could say boo, some young women put a "gun" to our foreheads to take our temp.
Freaked me out.
Thankfully our temp. was normal but what if it wasn't, what would they do, just hold you and force a test on you?
As luck would have it, the small shop inside the hospital didn't even have what I was searching for.
Since I don't know the answers, best to avoid the situation.

Summer has now gone but if it bounces back for a while then we should take it.
I'm in quarantine myself after returning from the UK.  I've posted my experience so far in the COVID19 expat thread.  It's an over the top reaction what they are doing and it is interfering with my daily list of things to do. I'm now over 60 so I am quite enjoying the idea of an enforced retirement but also being old enough I'm more than likely to follow the rules which of course, I am.
I wanted to go in the garden while there is vaguely good weather and do some sorting out but always concerned I'll miss the cops/inspectors and get fined because I don't hear them outside.  Scanning for high temperatures is just hopelessly ineffective. They should be testing and for free.
We're almost certain No. 1 HU Fluffyette had COVID19 about a week ago.  None of us have any signs. The irony would be we are immune yet subject to all the lockdown stuff. We'll never know unless they test us.
I've got a dust and pollen allergy. If I blow my nose or sneeze, the ignorant masses will probably throw me off the bus or chase me like a mob around the streets with garden implements.

It's one of those Darwin Award moments.
At least you had a chance to visit people in the UK.
Your father must of been happy to see you.
My friend in Hawaii said her son is almost back to normal, just has itchy skin.
I know whenever anyone clears their throat in public it freaks me out. Well ,not really but I saw a guy removed his mask to sneeze! Nice one.
It is amazing to see how many people really never were taught any social etiquette.
Makes me think of my old casino dealing days, had to clap off and then you could use the back of your hand to cover your mouth or nose for a sneeze or cough. Then had to ask the floor man for a tissue.
People had been known to put chips in their mouths so always palms up when behind the table.
Used to never touch any money in a shop for my change, would motion for the clerk to put the money down and let me pick it up myself. Just a weird habit from that job. Would even clap off before picking up my change. Don't do that any longer but old habits die hard.
I'll check out the C-19 page , guess it's a good time to catch up on some Netflix while in lockdown.

Yes, I did have chance to see my old Dad. His mind is truly excellent for 96 years old. Still driving and engaging in political discussion. He's really doing well but I wish I could visit more often. One never knows if he's going to be around or not so we should all try and use the time.
I've been hearing about something called "long-COVID" which is a set of a long lasting health issues post-infection. People saying there are after effects like fatigue headaches, coughs, loss of smell, sore throats, delirium, and chest pain. I have had the chance to be infected but haven't had any symptoms as far as I know. I did have a bit of malaise - tired and headache - a while back but a couple of days and I was OK again. I wasn't in bed or anything, just couldn't be bothered doing anything. Since I got back from the UK, I've just been doing gardening, repairing stuff, tidying up and sorting out some junk. I can do any work I need to remotely.  I really want to make use of the isolation and the time at home it allows. I probably have done about 2 years of DIY in the past 6 months. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind going somewhere!
The problem I have with Netflix is that we've seen it all! The only things on there I'm working through is Lucifer. The forthcoming space adventure Away with Hilary Swank could be good if not too sentimental.  The one I hope they bring back is Another Life but I don't think it'll be finished before the middle of next year. A surprise hit was Umbrella Academy Season 2. I was watching it with the kids but it got a bit interesting in Season 2.Â
Not really seen anything really worth looking at recently.  There's an HBO series Raised by Wolves which looks a bit odd.
Started the last seasn of Orange is the new Black but got bored half way through.
Didn't watch Netflix for about a year and now have access to it again. Not all that interested right now in any shows. More into watching the news and events wiorld wide with this C-19 thing.
Watched alot of The Crowhouse. an old dude living off grid in OZ and speaking up on events with the NWO. Lately he is hard to find online, he may of been shut down, truth speakers are the first to go.
His name is Max Igan.
Fullerton Informer and RFB11 who's channel was also taken down this week.
Watch a few old tv dramas from the UK , love period shows.
Yesterday we ran around the city.
On a large blvd. we had to make way on the sidewalk for a couple riding an electric motorbike on the sidewalk. He had a plate on the bike too. Thought a motor driven vehicle was for the road not the walkway. Those bikes do not even make a sound, they just creep up on you.
Then took a tram over to the mall. I shared a bench with some women just blabbing on her phone and smoking a smelly cig. Thought that wasn't legal here either. Have to be a ways off to smoke from a bus/tram stop.
So many "radical law breakers" here! Wish they actually were real radical law breakers that could make a positive change for the world and nt just indulge their own selfish vices.
Just remembered, last week on Netflix under new released movies there was one which they filmed on our st. here a couple years back.
Think in English it was called, The Captives. It's in Hungarian but has English subtitles. About the secret police in the late 1950's in Budapest. My eyes are getting so bad I didn't realize most outside shots had our building in them!

Orange is the New Black left my orbit some time ago. It got all "ethnic" and we were having trouble understanding it. It was just too Hispanic centric. We like Spanish language, food and culture here but this was something else. We couldn't take the slant they'd given it any more.  Stopped watching!
I was watching some movie last night called Anchorman: Legend of Ron Burgundy. It was terrible. After 45 minutes, I couldn't be bothered, my mind wandered away and I started buying Chinese spare parts for my power tools. I have perfectly good tools but for small parts - the switch is faulty - I'd have to junk it. I could get two new switches for about $5 including postage.Â
I also finished Mrs America about Phyllis Schafly. What an awful person the world is better off without. I cannot believe someone so out of touch had any following whatsoever. I was no fan of Reagan but thank heavens he stabbed her in the back and stopped her going forward. If she'd gotten into the cabinet, it'd be like the puritans all over again.
I'm going to look for that Hungarian film. Â
Mrs Fluffy's grandfather was taken away suddenly by the Commie secret police and when he came back 3 or 4 days later he was really roughed up. She never heard what happened to him. One can imagine the same kind of tactics going on in Belarus.
In 56 my husband's frst cousin was a 17 year old college student. He had no idea all heck had broken loose and was just minding his beeswax walking near his campus on the sidewalk. A snipper shot him in the knee and blew it out, some illegal bullets were used that really took his knee out. He was taken in one of the first ambulances to Switzerland for treatment.
He never returned to HU, he had been taken in by an elderly Swiss couple who were childless and has taken him in at age 3 during WW11. They heard he was injured and rushed to his side and kept him with them forever.
A few years back we met up with his younger bro,( now deceased but was a pretty famous artist here in HU, Joe Valerkari ,, If I am spelling it correctly)Â Anyways, we met he and his wife both spoke good English. He told us after he bro was taken out of HU he as an 8 year old and his parents were taken to the police station and asked where their son/bro was hidding out.
He was not even in on any sort of revolution but they wanted names, and addresses.
They had no info to give so they got to stay a few days in jail and they all got the living crapo beat out of them, even the little Joe at age 8.
Insane.
Got the cousins the artists name wrong, Joseph Velekei.
He did mostly wood sculptures. His bro in Switzerland was also an artist. paintings .
Nice enough guy, he died ut of the blue before we met him again.
His family still lives in Szentendre.
Just too weird to contact them now.
My husband must still have many cousins here in Hungary. His mother had 8 older brothers after all.
Met one female cousin a few times who lives close to Velence, her husband was nice too.
Just weird after decades of not being in contact with them to suddenly be BFF's.

Looked up some sculptures for Velekei and found them under the name Velekei József Lajos.
Looks like his famous work is the World Tree or Világfa.Â
A lot of his sculptures (at least on a Google search) seem to be trees or vertical works made of old tree trunks.
It's OK I suppose but wouldn't be on my list to save if I needed some firewood in an emergency and that was the only piece available.

Tried google search, thanks, you should be a detective! There is a photo of him in one site. He was nice enough but I only met him once. I can usually get a vibe from a person within a first meeting though.Nice guy, very open and friendly.
My husband wasn't a huge fan of his style but still, he had some talent.
Then again, we aren't ,"artistic" people. Well, shouldn't say that really, used to design my own crazy clothing and do hair and my husband was a machinist, had to use a ton of talent to figure out new ways of cutting metals to save both time and to use his machines the best way he could without buying every little gadget out there for a job.
Joe's bro in Swizterland was from what I heard a better artist.
We had thought of visiting him in Switzerland but time got away from us, he must be at least 83 now if he is even still living.
My son wrote telling me trains in his area of Japan or closing down for a few days, a huge Typhoon is coming. His wife will stay at her hotel job overnight a few days because of the train situation. He will be alone for his first big weather event.
I told him to stock up on water and food so he doesn't have to go outside.
Sometimes we forget there is another world out there besides just Hungary.
