Hi Renukakumara,

Please note that your topic is now on the Bahrain forum for more interaction with the members.

For some starting information, please feel free to go through the topics on the Bahrain forum. You can browse per category so as to get information on a particular subject.

Flat sharing is authorised in Bahrain, if you wish to have a look on the prices for accommodation , please feel free to go though the Housing in Bahrain section to have an idea. You can also post a free ad in the same section and give more details on the price that you are looking for. It is free :)

Hi RenukaKumara. Great to hear you will be moving to Bahrain.

Gudaibiya is a highly residential area. But most buildings there are slightly old. You may get some reasonable deals there. Don't limit yourself to Gudaibiya only, unless it is close to your work place or some other similar reason.

Rent will be around BD200 for a 2 bedroom apartment. Monthly electricity and water bill will be about BD 15 - 20. Municipal taxes are 10% of your rent.

You can share - no restrictions. Lot of people live in shared accommodation.

But there may be complications with address for CPR card. There are ways to resolve this.

Most providers in Bahrain have packages that will suit your budget. as low as BD5 per month upwards.

Difficult to say. Different employers have different scales. Some will be low salaries and some pay very high. Depends on employer,.

Renukakumara

Thanks for your informative cclarification..

Let me advice if Rent is 200 BD. + how much total electricity& water + municipal tax=

Taxes are every month to  be paid to council? Pls advise

I would like to keep my housing budget  max 230 BD..

logicalindian

As Farhaz mentioned on his post the approximate electricity & water would be around 15-20 BHD per month, and 10% municipal tax also per month, so if your rent is 200BHD 10% of 200BHD which is 20 BHD per month add 20BHD (electricity & water) approx, in total 240BHD approx.
