Life in Russia is a bit weird at first sight.
People never seems to smile and a bit depressed. But when you get to know them better, you can realize it's not that bad.

It's not really difficult to find new friends in Russia, especially in Moscow. Few people speak good English, though.
So you'd better learn some basis of the language if you want to understand people and be understood.

If you have any questions, please be sure to ask

I wouldn't say that... If someone decide to visit Russia, it would be better to learn few expressions before...
Once i was in bank where some frenchman couldn't even speak with bank employee or just be understanood in spite of his great english.

I think it is vital to learn not just the language but also learn about the culture...  we have been here for 4 years now and I love it!!
