Hi,
We are moving to NZ next month, our daughter needs braces soon and we were wondering how insurances in NZ are covering this. In Holland its mostly half of the price they pay and the other half you pay.

Depends on what your private health insurance cover is.
The less you pay out of your pocket means the higher premiums you have to pay.
