Marrying Malaysian Woman In Malaysia

Hello All, Wonderful site yall have here. I would like some information on how easy or difficult it is for a male foreigner to marry a Malaysian woman and live and work in Malaysia. I am a Jamaican citizen. We have two options. A) She comes to Jamaica. We marry here and then go to Malaysia and get paperwork. This will cost more in plane tickets and time off from her work etc. B) I go to Malaysia. Marry her there and sort out the paperwork (visa, work permit etc.) I have gotten some general information from my gf but I would like to know what experiences yall had with immigration and government offices. Thanks in advance.

Yes it's important to know if she is a Malay (Muslim) or a Chinese or Hindu or whatever. For Muslims to get married in Malaysia is more complicated than other religions. Assume she is not a Muslim though?

She is not a muslim & the reason for marriage is obviously love.

I believe the ‘official’ if you wish to call it that, would be in Ireland & the second wedding in Malaysia is most likely for a traditional wedding in regards to having a celebration closer to home for the rest of her family.
