Hello!

I'm Azy, a university student who will come to Busan in the middle of January 2018! I'm looking forward to it. Would love to make new friends there and learn about the culture :)

HI!  I'm Asa, I'm from the United States and have been living near Daegu since April 2017 and will be here in SK until probably May 2018.  I'm older (late-40's) and married (family is back in U.S.), but I'd love to meet new people do things with, like hiking or exploring a city, or just some good conversation.  I'm not a big fan of clubbing, but I can enjoy it on occasion (although I haven't, yet, here in Korea).  Other than being a native English speaker, I am also proficient in Spanish.

Hi All

I'm Peter, originally from England, but have spent many years working in Asia building trains.  I Have just moved to South Korea (Changwon) yesterday (06/10/2017 and I'm currently staying at an hotel.  I would like information on renting either a house or apartment, i will be living here for 2 years plus, also car hire.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
(I will be working at Hyundai Rotem Facility)

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter,

It would probably be easier to ask your company's HR department to help you with this, as they probably either already have some local contacts who either speak English or who are willing to rent places to foreigners with contracts in English. Ask the other foreigners in your company, too. There are several renting systems in Korea when it comes to housing, they usually require having a certain amount of deposit money on top of someone vouching for you. I've never rented a car though, so I'm afraid I can't help with that.
Let me know if they're not helping much, I speak Korean so I might be able to look things up from here. (I lived in Korea for a while and am planning on moving back there at some point but I'm in the Czech Rep. at the moment) :)

Hey!

I'm Jorden, I come from Holland and am hoping to move to South Korea. I've been all over Europe and for as long as I can remember I have wanted to live in Asia as well, specifically South Korea!
I joined the website because I am now beginning to gather all the information I need to make life in Korea a reality.
I hope to meet many friends here and to expand my own network, as well as be a part of yours! Come say hello!

Hey everyone!
Moving to Daegu from Virginia, USA, in December. I've been working in journalism for the last three or four years, and now I'm getting set to teach English at a hagwon/language school. Super nervous. My Korean is...kinda like my 1.5 year-old niece, in terms of proficiency.

Anyway, let's chat!

Hi everyone..

I am planning to move to South Korea sometime next year.

I started liking everything anything Korean due to Korean dramas and KPOP (I am a huge fan of TVXQ, Big Bang, BTS and JYJ ... ).. And I have been to numerous KPOP concerts in Malaysia and Singapore as well..

I have been to Korea 3 times in the last 15 months as I am completely in love with the culture, history, food, places and I find people there are just too nice!! In fact, I have just returned from an attachment programme at a law firm in Gangnam.. It was a very memorable experience and I really hope I can do it again in the future..

If anyone has any suggestions on interesting places I should visit on my next trip to Korea, please feel free to share it with me...

Thankss...
