My Name is Dawn, I am a very young 51yr old, single and i currently live in Northern Ireland but I am originally Scottish. I left Scotland in my early 20's and lived in England for a few yrs, then moved to Northern Ireland 25 yrs ago. I have 3 grown up sons, 2 of which currently live in Holland. I now want to start a new life for myself in Spain. I am looking for work and accommodation anywhere in Spain, I enjoy the outdoor life and don't mind what kind of work i do, i adapt easy, i'm very bubbly and sociable, hard working and reliable. I play golf (badly lol) swim, hike, I love wild camping, walking and animals. I have a reasonable education and would consider myself a warm and gentle person who gets on with everybody no matter what age, race or religion.
If there's anyone on this forum who could give me some good advice on how to get work/accommodation, any tips on health insurance or driving in Spain. (still unsure whether to bring my car) I would be most grateful. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, much appreciated.

Dawn, from the description of yourself you are going to be just fine. My wife and i are planning to retire to spain (hopefully) sooner than later . this blog i have found to be a very good source of information with a great response rate. good luck when you land please stay in touch and let us know how you are getting on Kind regards Bruce & Francine

Hi Bruce & Francine, thank you for your kind words, i will definitely keep in touch. When do you think you will be in sunny Spain? Do you have any particular area your looking at to go to? I'l be living in what ever area i get work but would really love to be around the Valencia area, its particularly beautiful i think, even though I've never actually been to it.
I may be going to Italy for a few months to work before going to Spain but i will stay on this site as i will be coming to Spain eventually. Take care, chat soon.
