Pigs do Fly!!!, Not much on religion, heaven forbid, and I'll shoot the S&%t w/anyone. How's that?
@MM I am disappointed. I thought my line was brilliant yet no comment. I suppose if I would have just responded to the Pink Floyd thing (your original thought) instead of taking your text literally it might have been more in line with your comment.
BTW - I have Dark Side of the Moon (CD), still unwrapped, got the vinyl too along with the burning man. Did you get the "pigs fly too", reference The Wall.
Pink rocks, and so do pink shirts!!
Civ,
Picked up on the references but read it late on and was too tired to make a reply.
Was thinking of getting the poster of battersy power station to have on my office wall, but may offend some people
@MM: yeah it can.. I got a poster of Maiden and Manson and some ppl who came ot my house never came back..
Does the cupped fingers shaken at you mean anything? Got one Friday, almost gave him the fickled finger of fate but thought better of it.

I am sure you are much younger than I so it would go over your head. It is a reference to a US comedy show, "Laugh-In".

That explains it! I gave up on US comedy when Seinfeld finished

One word I always use about KSA when describing it is "unique".

SO.....Is it authentic western jibberish as they used in Blazing Saddles?
CivEngr wrote:One thing kinda cool about this place, only place I have experienced trash cans that say "THANK YOU"
so i remember these kids in Riyadh gallery fastfood court. they keep on collecting empty plastic cups and soda cans then, throw one by one in the talking trash can - laughing after they hear "Thank you."
It make sense... encouraging children of proper disposal.

You have obviously confused people with the spelling, should be p'tang
And I know the answer, but lets see how long it will go for!

Is this a reference to a certain gender in a positive yet suggestive way?
FunkyDG got in there too quickly (shame), would have been fun to string this one out. It was a brilliant film in it's time and the title has always stuck with me:
"P'tang, Yang, Kipperbang" is an enchanting comedy set in post-World War Two Britain. Based on a story by Jack Rosenthal, it studies a teenage boy's relationships and period of sexual awakening. John Albasiny stars in the role of a cricket-obsessed adolescent, Alan Duckworth, who lusts after his classmate Ann (played by Abigail Cruttenden). When the pair score the lead roles in the school's drama production, Alan finds himself in the awkward situation of having to pull off a proper snog scene with his real-life crush. "P'tang Yang Kipperbang" is a tender but telling film, which brilliantly evokes the teenage anguish of a familiar coming-of-age story.
Starring John Albersiny, Abigail Cruttenden, Maurice Dee, Alison Steadman, Robert Urquhart, Peter Dean
Director Michael Apted
Grammys: Rooting for Justin Beiber. Why? Don't know a single song of his but he looks just like my 17 year old son! Go Justin B!!!!

The 'cheating' had already happened! I agree, it should have been genuine knowledge only but I should have stipulated that I guess - no harm done, it's all in the fun of things
