I saw a very nice sculpture of St.  Joseph in HCMC and wanted deep in my heart to buy it and ship it to Philipines. It was life size and wanted to put it in a chapel that our family is slowly improving. Does anybody have any idea on how to arrange about importation or whatever i need to do to make it happen?

I shipped a big fat wooden buddha statue for my mum, it can be done. There's a post office (not that church but close to it) where we dropped it off and I think we paid about 400 USD to have it shipped to the UK it was so big and heavy.

It was VNPT... Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Corp on Pasteur Street I think.

It did break in transit and the price covered insurance so we started a claim but in the end I decided a bit of superglue was less hassle. That was 10 years ago and we still have it. I don't even remember which part I had to stick on any more as it's unnoticeable.

It took 1 month to arrive by boat. Air freight was too expensive as this thing was big and heavy.

Contact the post office or a shipping company, that is unless a poster has the shipping costs at hand.
