Hi,
Here is a quick reply:
- safety: safer than major European and American cities
- housing: expensive (around $1000 per month) ; popular areas for expats are Achrafieh and especially Mar Michael area (artistic area with a lot of bars). U need a good real estate broker ; maybe u can share an apartment with other expats, I know some people who did this
