Hi, I was hoping someone here could maybe help me. I'm currently in The U.S. looking to Kenya, the Nairobi or Mombasa area to be with my girlfriend, and seeking employment. My background is in the financial services field and have a B.A. in finance. I also have a passport. Additonally, I have been looking into NGOs. If anyone could it would be much appreciated. Also how is the job market there. Thank you!!!!!!
Well, welcome to Kenya. Truth be told, the job market is very saturated and you can be sure you will go several weeks before you secure a stable job here!
Unemployment rate is simply out of this world. If you are well equipped with skills and technical know-how, you can easily start your own business that can keep you going and pay your bills.
What richard says is true. The current job market in Kenya is jam-packed, so have a survival plan for the period before you find meaningful work.
Jambo, am Mumali from Nairobi, currently living and studying in Poznan, Poland

hey allegretto.
iam ivy. a graduate engineer as well. iam interested in the community services and looking to join one as well. you have any suggestions?
Hey, I think your options depend very much on where you live and/or how much free time you are willing to give. convenience is key.
I am currently volunteering at a local children's home & school as a teacher's assistant. You could try that out, or consider also helping at a hospital, or at a social welfare center, or with organizations that raise public awareness about various causes...etc.
I am available via inbox if you want to talk more
