Hi There

How is the Island life going?

We are currently in Johannesburg and moving to Mauritius in December - we can all speak English!! Ha ha...

Are you married/kids? What work are you doing there in Mauritius?

Try start learning the Creole language by mixing with the locals..... my creole is very broken but I can more or less get by but trust me and you'll pick it up in no time! It is quite unique! (I know more naughty/swear words than anything else) but hey.....at least it's something!! Ha

Best Of luck

Merci
Paula

Hi Leslie, we haven't seen you for quite a while. Last Saturday we met two newcomers, men, Mattias from Austria and Dannygeere who you met once plus another man Tapan that you know too. It was quite a nice moment.
Maybe some day you'll show up too.

Hello,

Seen your post and like you and others I really want to make some English speaking friends to hang out and socialise with.

I see there are many people seeking same across the island. I have toyed with the idea of creating a meet up. I attended such evenings when I was an expat in Dubai and that worked relatively well to make new friends.

I live in Flic en Flac, relatively local. Drop me a line if you fancy a drink or beach day

Cheers and hv a great day.
Sandra

Just arrived two weeks ago, found a house in Flic en Flac. Nice it’s close to school and beach. We are from The Netherlands, English speaking.
