Hi
We are currently in the process of relocating to Mauritius.
I have been married to a Mauritian for 11 years and have a British passport.
I want to travel to Mauritius on a 1 way ticket as I don't know when will I travel next??
Is this ok? Is it ok I just show my marriage certificate to the immigration officer at the airport?
I really don't want to buy a return ticket.
Thanks

Hi,

Yeah you just need to show some proper marriage documentation to the officer and he/she will put a mention on your passport.

When you check-in for your flight, they might ask you about your return ticket. This happened to me when I check-in at Heathrow to fly one way with Emirates. The check-in agent had to go and check with her supervisor, as she wasn't sure if it's correct.
Just to spear you the little panic moment I experienced, as in my mind I already was paying loads of money to book a return ticket on the spot. :)
But no problems experienced at immigration in Mauritius! As Winston said, have your marriage documents ready.
