ANY SRILANKAN GATHERING?

Hello,

I am a Srilankan lady residing in Dubai with my family.
We all miss our country and the warm friendly crowd back there.
Really wish if a gathering is organised to get to know each other and exchange business ideas and help each other.
Although there are so many Srilankans in Dubai I feel we are very quiet when compared to other nationalities. By nature we do tend to keep to ourselves but we have to gather and build a strong union!!!

Well, there are plenty of Lankans in UAE. One bit of advice would be to be selective about the people you make friends with.

As I was told by someone before leaving for the UAE, in your country, you select the people whom you mix with whilst in the UAE, you are thrown together with strangers and you are obliged to mix with them - not knowing their background etc.

Try getting introduced by current Lankan friends to their circle or network and then decide on the people is my advice.
