Hello,

I would like to know what's the best way of getting insurance in Vietnam. Should I apply for a international health insurance or the local ones do practically the same?

It all comes down to how much you want to spend and what cover you are looking for.

I suggest you have an international health insurance plan. It can guarantee the basic service such as English speaking customer service and direct billing.

The premium varies based on the coverage you choose. If you only want to have in-patient coverage in Vietnam, the premium is low: 1,000 USD / year (30 years old). If out-patient coverage is included, it's around 1,800 USD / year.
