Hi all,
my name is George Gordon. I moved to Mauritius 2 months ago,
and live in Flic-en-Flac.
My wife and son is still in Cape Town, and will only join me
in 2 years time....will come over on holidays though.
Would like to make some friends, go for coffee, or a beer or whatever....I must admit, I don't like the "being alone" thing,
but if I have to be alone...hey, what better place than Mauritius?

Look forward to hearing from some of you soon.

Hi Gordon,
For sure you will find lots of people in flic en flac i'm from there since 3years now and there is plenty of people there.
By exemple if you like to do fitness : go to jetset fitness next to spar.
During the week end like a friday night u can go to twins garden restaurant there is nice atmosphere there.
Or better than better to meet south african people u can go during the week end at Big Willy Tamarin to have dinner and party.
If u want to know more contact me....don't worry u r not alone!!
regards

Hi Gordon,

I'd echo Genevieve's thoughts above re gyms and add that having only recently moved to Tamarin, we've found that the Riverland Sports centre is a great place to find your feet. It's about 10 minutes drive from F-e-F and they have plenty of courses and a really good bunch of people. Not sure if footie is your thing but we play there every Saturday afternoon for a casual kick-around with beers to follow. Feel free to join us.

All the best,
Jon

If you would like a "beer buddy" or somebody to sit with that understands your situation, my Dad is there in Flic en Flac and is in the same situation. If you are interested, please send me a message and I will give you contact information.
