Signing a job contract after an offer

mddb

Hi everyone!
I am from Almaty, Kazakhstan, and I am being offered a job position in Prague.
HR department of the company says that before signing a contract I have to pass a medical check in Czech Republic.
Is it so everywhere?

Thank you!

It's not uncommon for companies to ask for a full medical or just a routine check up. Can I ask what would be doing as work?

I am not against it, it's just that going to Czech Republic with no contract seems risky, even if offer is accepted. Is medical check mandatory by some laws?

Hi, it's mandatory for ceratin positions (and neither employer nor employee can refuse it), but in your situation (for your position) it is not mandatory by law, however as long as your employer requires it, you must undergo it in order to be capable of acquiring the job, I'm afraid.
