I have read that it depends on where you are from.

I am from Singapore and I submitted my paper copies for my student visa as well as my wife's partner-ship dependent work visa on the 8th Sept and I have received an email on the 9th that it has arrived in the office in Bangkok.

Keeping fingers crossed that it will be processed quickly.

Generally, its between 4 weeks for some and almost 5 months for others. Its also about how complete your documents are. All the best.

Hi,

Writing to let you know that the Bangkok office has made a decision and returned the passport. The documents are now at the office where I lodged my application awaiting my wife's partnership visa decision and passport that should arrive soon.

Took me 6 working days including the day submission.

08/09/17 - Student Visa Application lodged in Singapore together with Wife's Temporary Visa
09/09/17 - Received notification from Bangkok office that our documents have arrived.
15/09/17 - Decision made on my Student Visa and passport and documents back in Singapore awaiting my wife's decision before being couriered back to us
