Yes, you don't need to go back to the Philippines for your MVV. I also have the PH nationality and I applied for my MVV in Japan. So, in your case, you can indeed do it in Germany.
Best of luck!
Hi. My Dutch boyfriend posted our application on Dec 28 2018. Until now, no email on acknowledgement or information to pay. Do we just have to wait?
Also, is it true that the partner (myself) is not allowed to travel to any Schengen country during the course of the application?
Hi filipino nurse here working in Germany... does one need to take mvv exam first before marriage with a dutch man? Or can a couple get married first then take the mvv after?
Thank you appreciate any response

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
These are different types of visas; if married you would apply for a family visa. As your future husband is Dutch, I would advise you to get him to contact the IND and make enquiries there. The IND contact details are on their website; this link will take you there.
Hope this helps.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Yes, you have to wait.
I can't see how the Dutch government can stop you travelling to another country, you just can't get a visa for Holland while doing MVV.
Hope this helps.

Hi Rejoy,
From what I read on IND website, if you don't hear from them in 10 working days then you need to call them to see if they received your documents. See link here (under the Most frequently asked questions / Has the IND received my application) - https://ind.nl/en/contact/Pages/FAQ.aspx
As for your question about traveling to any Schengen country, I don't know for sure, I was also wondering about that, but I couldn't find any specific info. But I did read somewhere on IND site that we are advised not to travel to the Netherlands while we wait for your MVV (even though I don't need a tourist visa for a short stay in NL anyway, as my country is part of Schengen White list). I was also told this at the NL embassy in my country.
Hope this helps!
Thank you!
Yes, we’ve been calling IND but no concrete answers to date. :-(
re traveling to EU, thanks for the feedback. I do have a schengen visa but still uncertain if I can travel. I will update you all here once I get an answer.

Hi. Has anyone here taken the A1 Exam this month? (FEB 2019) and any news so far with the results? Thanks.
Hello everyone, any ideas about team den haag 9,we applied 4th february
Hi I just wanted to know if it's ok to send the documents tru email when applying for mvv?
Miram mira wrote:Hello everyone, any ideas about team den haag 9,we applied 4th february
The teams are working within a process; team names are meaningless when trying to judge how good, bad, or indifferent they may be. In all cases, it will depend on how many applications are being processed and the quality of those applications.
My mvv application was approved within 3 weeks from Den haag team 9 last year 😊.
Maybe it helped that my husband and me were both single and he works for 38 years in 1 company.
I didnt know how they evaluate but ours was quick.
Hi Nutz, did they tell you why it was not necessary to have the documents legalised? Is ir because you were living in Japan?
I am also a residence of Dubai at the moment so, was just wondering.
I'm also wondering what they meant that if the country of origin does not provide for divorce, then it was not required to present a certificate of unmarried status?
So as we do not have divorce in the Philippines , then does this apply?
Thank you.

Thank you for answering,we applied on 4th february and 5 march the ind asked for more papers we hope to get the positive decision soon.
hi Bella,
I think even we don't have a divorce in PH we still need to submit a cenomar "certificate of no marriage."
heynutzzzz wrote:Hello Prav,
Good luck on your Civic Integration Exam!
The documents depends on the situation of the applicant. In my case, I was advised that the legalisation of my unmarried certificate and birth certificate from the Philippines is not needed. (The IND advised me this before I took my Civic Integration Exam and we confirmed with the dutch embassy here in Japan and re-confrimed with IND multiple times)
Also, it depends on what country you are coming from if you need an apostille or legalisation from the foreign affairs in your country.
You can check this link regarding the legalisation of documents and the apostille:
https://ind.nl/en/Pages/legalisation-an … ments.aspx
The standard documents that needs legalisation is the Unmarried certificate and the Birth certificate. I highly advice you to confirm first with the dutch representation in your country as well as the IND as what you need.
As per IND's email to me with the requirements needed, this is what they said :
"A copy of a legalised marriage certificate, a certificate of registered partnership or a certificate unmarried status for you and your partner. The certificate that you are unmarried cannot be older than 6 months at the time of application. A Dutch partner does not need to submit this document.
If the legislation in your country of origin or continued residence do not provide for legal divorce, you are exempted from providing a certificate unmarried status."
Again, confirming with the IND is the best option just to be sure.
Good luck!
Hi Jorene,
That's right. But I was asking that , relative to the above statement from IND that heynutzz posted in bold.
Hi all,
Congrats for all the people who have received their MVV visas!
Me and my boyfriend are going to start the process soon and reading all your experiences has really helped me to understand the process a bit more.
I do have some questions and i am hoping that someone can answer:
1. I met my boyfriend in Australia, he is colombian, i am dutch. I havent had a job in Holland since october 2017. We are in Colombia now but are planning to go to Holland in july so i can find a job, so we can start the visa application (my boyfriend will hopefully have his inburgeringscursus diploma by then). I am worried tho... Even if i find a company that will give me a 12 months contract and above the minimum amount, will they look at my past income? Will this be a problem?
We are trying to do everything in a way that we can stay together as much as possible, but if i will go sooner to Holland is this will be a problem. Hope someone can share his experience about this!
2. What if i get a contract and job for the application, but i quit and go back to Colombia with my boyfriend to wait for the IND answer. I know it is not very nice, but is it possible?
3. My boyfriend can visit Holland for 3 months on the schengen visa. Is it possible to extend this stay with 3 more months? Or anything else. I really hate to be apart for so long if it takes 90 days for the IND to decide about the visa.
Good luck to everyone and i look forward to your answers/experiences!!

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
I'll try and answer your questions as you've asked them:
1. No, they (IND) won't look at your previous income; they are looking for future income that is sustainable, preferably that comes with a job with a contract. The income limits are set at just about the Dutch minimum wage levels, so as long as you get a job with a contract, you should earn enough to qualify.
2. There's nothing stopping you doing that, but I would suggest it's not very wise; if they (IND) find out (and they can via your BSN suddenly stopping paying tax), it will make your sponsorship invalid. There's nothing stopping you going anywhere on holiday; but it's only 90 days, you will both survive the separation and with modern communications, it's so easy to talk and see your boyfriend.
3. Schengen visas are for a maximum of 90 days in a 180-day period, so no, he can't extend his duration beyond that. The 90 day waiting period for MVV, is not a specific number of days that you must wait and has to be fulfilled, it is the maximum length of time it takes for the IND to process the application, some applications do not take that long.
4. Other options; you haven't told us much about your boyfriend, but could he apply to come to Holland to work in his own right? Skilled migrant visas can be issued in 2>4 days and don't require MVV, or the integration Dutch exam.
5. One last point; he can't apply for MVV in Holland, he has to be outside of the country; neither will they issue a Schengen visa while he is going through MVV.
If you have any further specific questions, please come back to us.
Hope this helps.

Hello, I have just seen your post on this forum.
Initially they said that I don't need to legalise them but then at the end they told us to legalise the papers from the Philippines. We called IND multiple times to confirm and they said it was no need. Until they sent us an email with the decision that we need to legalise the papers from the PH within two weeks before they reach a final decision. So we flew immediately to the Philippines to have them legalised and within minutes, my MVV was approved.
Hello there!
My girlfriend applied on the 20th of March and we got the results today! (05/04/19)
So in total it was a little bit more than 2 weeks and our case was handled by team den bosch 5.
Just waiting for the the appointment at the consulate in Sao Paulo, BRA.
Hi Guys! Just sharing my MVV experience just in case it helps anyone here like this forum helped me :-)
1.March 22 - application for MVV visa. We applied and paid ONLINE ONLY (https://ind.nl/Familie/Paginas/Echtgenoot-of-(geregistreerd)-partner.aspx)
2. March 28- received confirmation MAIL - via post in NL (because his digi mail was not activated) Here it will state that your application is received and the maximum time you have to wait for the result (90 days). It will show the exact date.
3. March 5 - Got positive result (14 days after submission)
Note: We submitted everything online nothing by post. The online application will tell you which documents to upload. We had to upload additional documents in this link https://ind.nl/Paginas/Toeleiding1Vraag1.aspx.
You can only upload additional documents once you have your case number (starting with Z...) which can be found on the upper right corner of your confirmation letter.
When we received our confirmation letter it is stated that Den Bosch was the bezoekadres (I'm guessing th office that handled our case) but the positive result paper showed Den Haag 3. Hope this helps guys.
Guessing the links don't work or it is not allowed not sure but it is the IND website incase you all are wondering.
Woah that’s really fast. Well anyway i think you have some typo too. I suppose instead of March 5, it’s April 5, 2019.In my case, my boyfriend applied thru online last March 30, 2019 and we are still waiting for the result. The confirmation of payment had the address of Den Bosch but prolly would be the same case as yours that another team will be handling our case. Anyways, congratulations on your positive response from IND! ☺️👍🏻👏🏻
Mine had Den Bosch adress written and when we got the approval letter we found out our case was handled by Den Bosch 5.
Yeah it is supposed to be April but unfortunately for some reason i Can't edit my post. Huhu sorry bout that. Yeah it was fast. Goodluck with your application. I'm sure it will be out in no time
Thank you so much! I hope to hear from IND soon. And to those who are on the waiting list too, good luck to us and hopefully we will receive a good and prompt response from IND ☺️🤗
i'm about to take my exam next next week, i am a bit nervous but excited at the same time.
has anyone here applied for MVV with their boyfriend? my boyfriend is Polish and has an indefinite contract in amsterdam. i am hoping this will enable us to be together i am from the philippines btw
Hi! I am not sure about your situation but maybe you can try to read about “Carpenter arrest”. ☺️
I just noticed. Most of response from IND usually comes around 1st week and 3rd week of the month. I am not generalizing but there’s like a wave of response during those weeks of the month.
Dear,
Greetings!!
Can you please help me in gathering information related to obtaining a visa for family members while applying for Orientation Year Visa for self?

Shahid
Dear,
Greetings!!
Does anyone know the process to simultaneously apply for the visa of family members while applying for Orientation Year Visa for self?
Regards,
Shahid
Hi again and welcome back.
There is no simultaneous process; all visas are individual applications. All the information is on the IND website for which I gave you the link back on 20 January 2019.
Hope this helps.

Hello everyone! This is my whole MVV experience
Took exam March 5, 2019
Result of exam March 21, 2019
Filed the application March 30, 2019
Got the result from IND April 18, 2019
Case handled by Team Den Bosch 5. Super blij!
Hi,
Is it possible for me to travel somewhere while waiting for the MVV?
I'm asking because when we apply for the MVV we input the passport data. Does it matter if I use it after that because a stamp will be added to it ??
hi yosra you can message the IND on twitter they reply fast usually within the day
Hi Everyone! Did anyone get ZWOLLE TEAM 4 here and how much time it took you? I always read about team Den hague 5.
Hi All,
After reading through some of the posts, I feel a little better on the waiting period for a positive response from IND :-)
I have a query related to MVV application. My application was filed by my sponsor on March 18th for me including my wife and 5 year old son along with the payment.
We got a response on the 29th of March to produce the marriage certificate and birth certificate apostilled from MEA.
It took about two weeks for the apostille and the documents were uploaded on the 14th of April and got confirmation that the application is complete. Today is the 13th working day and I am waiting for a positive reply from IND.
I have the below question:
At any stage during the process do I need to show enough funds in my account (how much should be sufficient) or this is not required as my application has been filed by my employer?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
From what you've said, you're moving as a skilled migrant; the financial questions are already answered by the minimum salary level requirements of that scheme and will have been answered by your future employer.
Hope this helps.
