I am looking for a room and I found 1 post for 1 room apartment  in Facebook then I visit that room and we make contract. As a contract  I transferred 10000dkk deposit to the owner. After 2 days my wife she doesn't like that apartment and i want to return my deposit money how is it possible? I am supposed to move on October 1.

If both of you (landlord and you) have signed the contract, you are bound by the contract.

If the landlord has not signed the contract yet, you can still regret.

Contact the landlord as soon as possible, tell him that you don't want to move in and encourage him to find another tenant as soon as possible. He isn't entitled to get double rent so if he finds another tenant, you don't have to pay for the notice period.

You can get free legal advice everywhere in Denmark at Retshjælpen.
There is also this site which offers free legal advice to tenants. Due to the site you can expect an answer within 48 hours.

But start contacting the landlord. Normally, it is very easy to rent out an apartment so it might not be a problem for him or for you, but the sooner you do so, the better it is.
