Thinking of moving to Alicante region.

Hi,
I'm newly retired and am hoping to move to Alicante or nearby. I am visiting with my son to look for a flat to buy in the next two to three weeks. I really want to be central and near a beach, restaurants and bars. Any advice on the best guides to get off to a good start would be appreciated.

Probably more with expats although I am enjoying trying to learn the language.

Then an urbanisation may suit you there are plenty along the coat , there is one quite near Alicante and the airport called Gran Alacant, my personal favorite costal town is El Campello which is very Spanish
