UK Channel Sales Professional LF Work with VISA for KL

Hello Expat.com

I have been applying for sales roles in KL and surrounding areas now for 4 months with very little positive responses. I am hoping maybe there will be a few people on these forums who can point me in the right direction or are looking for sales professionals themselves.

I am 24 and a British citizen in the United Kingdom and I have been working in channel sales for 4 years. I currently work for Terra Computer (Wortmann AG) a German IT manufacturer & distributor. we distribute systems and components into the UK channel. I manage an account set that generates £4,500,000 turnover every year and was named one of 30 under 30 in PCR Magazine.

I am moving to Kuala Lumpur as my girlfriend moved back to Malaysia after university and was unable to find a role in the UK. I have visited KL in September and returning in December/January for potential interviews.

if anyone can help that would be fantastic!

I would suggest broadening the type of jobs you apply for to perhaps the international call centre area, as sales would inevitably require some knowledge of local languages. I did notice there is a job at Marcus Evans at the moment and other contacts are in an earlier thread (https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=735830). Joining Internations.org to see what is on that forum would be useful. There is a job section above as well. Most agencies don't consider foreigners, but Robert Walters can have roles from time to time.
