why so many fake names on Expat.com ?

I’d like change my profile to my real name but can’t see how!

Can anyone help?!

I am not sure if you can change your name once your account is created. Maybe you should create another one

Guess you must be new to an IBB or Blog or social media.
It is not a Fake Name but a Handle - some people like  their PRIVACY and ANONYMITY even as Expats.
Thus they post with a handle.

This is NOT Facebook or Twitter  ( where even then you may use a handle) but as forum  where there is exchange of ideas or requests for ideas and where no one wants to be tracked by those who come on the forum just to propose  unsollicited/or unrelated  offerings.

same for me, I tried and tried but failed

I think you need to create a new  account to be able to have  a new name.
