Well Bangalore does offer some nice lounge, restaurants, pubs/discs to venture to - but that said, am sure the city can do well by extending the night life to, say, 1am. Anyways, here are my fav spots -
1) 13th Floor,
2) Fava
3) Shiro
4) Ista
5) Ice
6) Fuga
7) The Only Place
8) Hard Rock Cafe
9) Jamavar (The Leela Palace)
10) Tantra
There are others as well but these are real good. Hope you guys having a lovely time.
Take care...Ciao
Hi All,
The latest Bar/Pub opened up is ' The Sky lounge' in UB city.
Heard it is amazing and the entry is a lil above the usual tab..
But nice place good music/ambience.
Another one is Coco Bango which opened up in National games Village Koramangala. The place is filled with the local celebs during any events & promos...
The Banana Beach bar (Koramangala) is also becoming a favourite among partygoers for its Karoake nights /Good food/ & music... They play most of the UK top40 ( u name it and they play it)...
Hope the info was useful...
Regards
Kiran

Hi
Besides food and beverages, Bangalore has a lot to offer for someone keen on experencing the real India
There are historic forts in and around Bangalore. Some forts requires a bit of hiking to reach them. eg Madhugiri Fort, Makalidurga on the outskirts etc Tipu Fort on the other hand is in the heart of city itself.
Hiking:- Wen you drive for about 50 Km on Kanakpura road, you come across beautiful places for Hiking. If you are lucky you can spot wildlife as well
Rock Climbing:- Ramnagar about 2 hours drive has beautiful rocks for rock climbing and hillocks for hiking. It also oneof the rare places were the Gyps Vulture breads
Rural visit:- Kanakpura and Ramnagar both have rural villages that give you a feel of how India was about 100 years ago.You can see people growing mulberry which is the staple food for silk worm. You can visit some NGO's to understand the complete process in silk making.
Wildlife:-4 to 5 hours drive on Mysore Road will lead you to Wildlife hotspots. Youcan easily spot elephants, spotted deer, birds, wild boars etc...
If any of these interests you, I would be glad to help out
Regards
Kiran

As far as bars and clubs, my favorite places to go out are:
1) F-bar
2) Ice
3) Vaayu
4) Couch
5) Opus
6) Kosmo
7) Fuga
8) Hint
9) Shiro
10) Sutra
There's also a really good movie theatre in the Forum Mall, and the Lido Mall off of Brigade serves some really good Caramel Popcorn
For newcomers, you got to try Empire- its cheap Indian food, always packed, and open late. And they do take-away. If you miss steak, there's a GREAT steakhouse on Nandidurga Rd. Called Elements with a great atmosphere. Couch has great food too, as well as ICE, which is connected to the Taj Residency.
Ansuman,
Just to update you Fuga is closed sometime back and even Kosmo and F bar too which will all be soon opened with a brand new vibe, name and new look n feel of d nightclub...
Stay tuned and party hard but always party safe n be safe since just now i saw it in Tv that 6 Ugandan boys and girls got drunk in car and fought with the local police and the girls smashed the cops head with beer bottle and some more cops injured and later for the media the girls were posing like a MODEL!!!!
Peace!
There are a lot of places in Bangalore...depends on what kind of places you would want to go
Sebastin

Kyra has a theatre ambience and more of stage shows, rock concerts etc happens there... Its in indiranagar, it has different kind of audience and it will be good fun... check it out...
Hi All,
Just an update regarding opening of new nightclub F-bar & kitchen, Cunningham road (old cosmos nightclub is fully renovated to suit FTV style, ambiance and theme... I had been there this saturday and it was rocking and very huge place with both smoking and non-smoking zones and the drinks are really affordable cost when compared to Sky Bar which is really expensive and over-rated!!!
Try it out... After going there I found out that both the owners of this FTV nightclub and Dj there are my good old friends only
So if you guys want to organize your corporate parties, private parties, birthday parties, group bookings, theme parties or even we can organize Bangalore Expat.com Official Parties in this new FTV nightclub and I hope someone from Official BANGLAORE Expat.com member would respond here then to discuss it further or you can also inbox me here
Wishing you all very happy friendship day
Cheers

halime0607 wrote:Hi.. as i have been living in Bangalore since 2007.
i suggest you as clubs: i-bar, ice ( Both in Mg road), Hint is nice. Shiro is in UB City and very classy. Opus is having great Karaoke Nights especially on Sundays.
For food: as i am turkish i like turkish, persian, arabic food where i found it is in MEZZEH, Indiranagar, AYDA Iranian Restaurant in Bridage Road, Empire Koramangala or MG ROAD İ-TALIA in Park Hotel etc Malls are fine like Forum Mall, Garuda, Ub city. Ranga shankara is a nice place to watch plays in Jayanagar. These are the things coming in my mind at first.
Bangalore is a lively city and good for expats.
Enjoy..

hi anushka, hmmmmm.......such a long list of places to hang out??? looks like i have wasted a lot of years being in bangalore oblivious of these exciting places. I am staying in banerghatta rd, 37 and working with a biotech firm here.
Dudes & dudettes ...Bangalore is anything but fun in the night... especially with the curfew.. it wont change much. i guess the new government is up and running.so if they decide to make some changes .That definitely will go in our favor.
Apart from Nightlife . The restuarants in bangalore are a treat.
Masala Dosa is on top of the charts anyday.
Well most of the international cuisines are available in bangalore . If not exclusively , but of course inclusive in some of the in house restuarants in 5 star hotels.
you can use zomato.com.
one of the best tools for findng a restuarant....
MG road & brigade road are part of the OLD bangalore. so everything new opened in this area. But the scene has changed drastically over the last 5 years with the inflow of human beings from all over the country. Thanks to the IT.
So traffic/Congestion/Noise/Pollution/law & order are allpretty messed up..
New malls are up And the best bet is the Timesof India newspaper. In that the bangalore times edition gives a lot of what todo's ..
Anyways All the very best... and good luck in bangalore...
@ Anushka
Sweety Fuga got Burnt Down...
So everyone pls take FUGA off your list..
ICE is NICE.....
