Hey there everyone,Konichiwa !! ^_^
I'm Claudiu but everyone calls me Claude.
I'm from Romania, 23 years old, been living in London the past 4 years and just moved to Nagoya 4 months ago with my wife. To be honest i've been busy traveling Japan, enjoying the beauty and culture of this country since this was my childhood dream and what i can say is that Japan is THE BEST; until i realised that i didn't made any friends yet.. )
At the moment I just started learning japanese by myself, looking for friends and a job so i decided to approach the online way as i noticed that people are a bit shy those days having a direct conversation hahaha.
I hope this forum is still active ^^ so if you there lets be friends \o/
You can add and feel free to text me on Facebook or Line : **
Have a very nice day!!

Hi! I'm Amanda.
I am 38-years-old, and my husband and I are planning to move to Japan next year. I am hoping to go over on the JET program as I will have my teaching license by December, but I am already teaching first grade as a lateral entry teacher. I've been to Japan before on a government youth program as well as a government language program and speak intermediate level Japanese. It felt like I had gone home, and I love it there, so I am hoping I can get JET or find a good job. My only real snag is the old dog and cat I have to bring with me--I'm worried about finding a place to live that will accept them. Also, money is an issue--getting enough for reikin and such. Those are my concerns.
Nice to meet everyone! I hope to learn a lot from you, and I am happy to be part of the community. Thank you!
Hi Julien and All Japanese Expats
Just a brief comments on what are your thoughts on visiting Hiroshima. I come from the Arts as Painter and Graphic Designer.
Could someone inform me about where to visit the Arts precinct in Hiroshima. I have only been briefly to Kyoto, Osaka and Tokyo in the past but would like to visit some Art Galleries in Hiroshima.
I am also a Coffee, Tea, and Food enthusiast so would you let me know whats a cool Cafe or Food precinct in Hiroshima, would also like some information on Kyoto as well.
There will be a world conference in Hiroshima so I will be meeting some of my Australian friends and colleagues in Hiroshima so it would quite a fun experience.
Would anyone know where to join in some Food Lessons in Japanese cookery, would be really cool to learn how to cook Japanese food.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys
Cheers
John

Hey hey,
My name is Kristel and I am moving to Tokyo in July. I'm from Canada, but have lived in 5 countries. I'm excited to travel through the country. I'm working on my Japanese language skills, though it's going slow.
I'm hoping to find some travel buddies, and maybe some scuba dive buddies. And I'm totally interested in finding some great live music spots. And maybe even some musicians to jam with (I'm a music teacher).
Great to meet y'all.
Hi
I am Thomas, from the UK, spent time working in the US, London and now in Japan. Based in Tokyo, working as a Quantity Surveyor, moved here with my partner Cassie.
Would love to meet like minded traveling individuals for socialising and meeting.
Keen on pretty much all sports both playing and watching, and generally exploring.
We are interesting in joining communities with events to further expand out socialising network.

Hello,
Brian Woods, an expat working in Saudi Arabia but looking to live in Fukuoka in approximately two years. I am very interested in the job market for technical trainers, system administrators, and network administrators.
I am also very interested in places to go in Fukuoka, Kyushu, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and all areas south of Tokyo. I am not terribly interested in the nightlife unless it is very unique but more interested in learning more about the Japanese culture. I do enjoy good conversation and listening to stories with historical/mythical/folk content.
Hi there!
I am Jess, a 25 year old Aussie who lives in Higashi-Osaka with my husband! We moved here for his job in 2016 and I work for myself as a marketing consultant. Because my days are spent working from home I don't get to meet new people a lot and I'd love to make some new friends!
My interests are eating, drinking, exploring and having a laugh so if anyone wants to catch up for a drink or two with me or my husband and I, I'd love it.
Hi There!

Hello All!
My name is Simon. Early 30s, in Philadelphia, USA. I studied Japanese in college and was lucky enough to spend a summer there, again studying. For various reasons, I'm finally looking at moving back, this time for an indeterminate time period. We'll see what happens. Japan is an attractive destination for me because I already speak the language, and it's fun to be in such a different culture. At the same time, I'm looking at some tamer ideas like Germany. I'm currently trying to figure out what job opportunities might exist for me there.
I look forward to talking more with all of you!
Simon

Hi all,
My name is Karl - moved here from the UK in January. I live in a countrified part of Chiba prefecture with my family, and hope to meet some people. I speak a little Japanese, so as you can imagine, it's difficult to meet people! I need to socialise more
I'm an out-of-work game developer, but conversely I'm also into fitness. I miss going for an odd pint or two down the pub on a summery afternoon, and even though there are not many pubs in the British sense of the word here, I would love to do something similar if anyone is interested!
I love Japan, but I am lacking a bit in the social sense.
My name's Rich, I'm 27 and from the UK.
I'm a Freelance Concept Artist working in the video game industry.
I moved to Fukuoka to study Japanese part time and working the rest.
My goal is to work in the Japanese Game Industry.
Hoping to make some friends on here maybe some professionals who'd like to connect, sight-see and exchange practice in Japanese. 😁

Hi everyone ! Its is my pleasure to be here.
My name is Hermann and I'm a french aeronautical engineering student. I'm graduating at the end of the year and I'm planning on moving to Japan; my dearest ambition which I've prepared for over 5 years.
I'm learning Japanese and hope to be able to make this project come true soon enough. However, I'm pretty sure that I have little knowledge on what it really is like to live and work in Japan.
As a student engineer, I don't even know if I can find a job in Tokyo ! Is there anyone here that has had a similar experience or have some tips of their experience. I would be overjoyed to hear everything about your experience and advice.
If I can help you in anyway as well, please be free to reply to me. In hoping to talk to some of you soon,
Bye
