Thanks Hyboin for sharing the link. I just visited it and your previous blogger blogs too.
Its ok,I don't update my blog all the time too but I try to post at least 1 or 2 updates per month. I think not updating the blog too often also will give more time to the reader to enjoy the post before going to another post.
Have fun with your new template and happy blogging! ^^

Done! Thanks for the full report of the trip!
Wish you could large the pictures tho but its informative post I think, thank you spirito.

I think most bloggers would disagree with that. If you want to read the blog regularly, you don't want to wait weeks for the next post.

mm maybe..that was just my personal opinion and may I add, I think its depends on what kind of blog you have. Mine is personal-journal blog..not a business blog for instance.
Some of my last year posts still get comments and traffics-could that indicate some peps still can find the links somewhere on their browser? -I can check the traffic report on blogger.
Even my blog is personal journal blog, I like my updates to be well written.I did some research before posting it and sometimes that's took time also plus I am not a full time blogger and blogging is still a fun hobby till today.
Imo,any blog content that gives nothing to the readers also will make the traffic running away-one of the list that I try to avoid .

Hell no.O.o
My blog is a successor to my 20 years of columns in local newspapers. Usually, those focused on local issues. As if I wasnt in enough trouble already with the political establishment (last October I posted Confessions of a subversive), my writings caused them to ramp up their efforts to deport me and my family. Fortunately, some native-born Islanders were intelligent enough to appreciate the value of alternative opinions, and so was the liberal wing of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London, our colonial master. Between them, they kept us on the Island.
When the last of the brave publishers of my opinions discontinued its online presence in late 2010, a blog became my only option. At first, my topics were written for local residents only. But as the blogs audience broadened, so did the topics covered. Currently, American ISPs comprise 40% of all hits, Caymanian ones 12-15%, British & Canadian 5% each, and the remaining third from the rest of the world. Expat.com provides more traffic than any other expat-forum I belong to. Yayy!

Whew just had goosebumps reading your experiences. Never underestimate the media power especially those on the net they said. You must be very brave besides you know how to speak your mind into writing ,that's a WOW!
I once read somewhere on the net or news paper-I forgot,it said that writing on your blog doesn't makes you a writer but I think that's not necessary true once you can develop your audience.
Me also join many forums and blog directories.Your traffic looks good. I know what that feel. Always feels rewarding when I see the traffic goes up to certain level or found my blog post link on the first page of goggle-hope I don't sounds like self absorbed.
I got one blog that really just for fun and got like almost 85% traffic from the USA and I was like.O.o!
Btw,I liked the quote you put on your blog header and those are serious articles you wrote too.
Thanks for the kind words, Dita!
Just for the information of other E-B members: my blog doesn't contain any photos. However, there are three other Cayman-based blogs who do that. One can access them by going to the Cayman Islands Forum (Living in Central America or the Caribbean) and clicking "Blogs" on the left-hand menu. They carry some great photos of beaches, parties, watersports, etc, and all three of them are well worth checking out to find out what we have that attracts tourists.
Dita. I have just visited your blog - and what a beautiful blog it is! Every member of Expat.com should visit it. Please!
My wife and I travelled from Jakarta to Bali and back for a month in 1974 - you weren't born then, I think - and loved the country and its people. Well, I think of Java and Bali as two countries, because they are two cultures and religions, as far as we could tell. We were what is now called "backpacking" - travelling by bus and staying at cheap hotels and Youth Hostels. In Bali we stayed at Kuta Beach, which was a kind of hippy place - not nearly as developed (over-developed!) as it is now, from all reports. I remember we paid two dollars a night for a hotel room close to the beach; I think that would cost $200 these days.
Gordon, thank you for the visit and also you kind words.
I don't know you've been to Indonesia and glad you seemed had a good time staying in Bali with your wife. 1974 aha yes I am not yet created that year hehehe and I cant believe the hotel room near the beach was 2 dollar/night in Bali back then,I would stay they for 3 months if I could find one now.
That's interesting what you said about how you think of Java and Bali as two countries, because they are two cultures and religions.I understand what you meant but it hits me to the chat I had with someone from abroad long time ago,he said he never been to Indonesia but he's been to Bali once, ahahaha.
I dunno with other Indonesian but for me, Bali only has different atmosphere and probably different life style? Unlike in Bandung for instance,in Bali you can meet many people from around the world easily.
But speaking about different country, I actually think of Aceh as a different country now. Haha. I never been there tho and prob will never.
Btw,I found the Cayman blog link, it won Expat.com award and yes the beach is beautiful.

Hi everyone, I got an announcement to make especially to anyone who is trying to visit my blog, Mignonesia.
There was an error and it is now temporary blocked. Please understand that my blog is not deleted and will never be deleted. Mignonesia itself is a registered brand. I have contacted Google to fix it. The process will take up to 5 days or more. I hope they will fix it asap as I have it since 2008. Thank you.

Hello everyone,I got an announcement to make again!
My personal blog, http://mignonesia.blogspot.com/ is now available again on the net.
Was worry waiting the Google team to fix my blog after its being blocked for almost 3 weeks and knowing that my blog was at risk being deleted by the system.
I feel relief that today, I can have my access to my blog again.
My blog traffic has dropped to almost zero now but no problemo, I'll fix that later with my updates so stay tunes peps! ^_*
Yay, congrats!!!
I also have an announcement to make, I have changed my address to epicuriousannie.com and focusing more on food and travel :-)

How's your moving plan? Any news?
Turned out I will probably stay for a short time in Jakarta. But I still hope to see you!
never tried.
I'm plugging my new book on my blog. I don't want to spam this forum, but since that's what this topic is about
http://haileyshongkongdiary.blogspot.co … diary.html
I just talk about whatever is happening. I'm not trying to collect comments or "generate traffic" or any of that BS. The blogs that are desperate for popularity are never fun to read.
Yes I blog.
I have a site about international business.

Heavy blog content. Good work and I had fun reading one of your articles, The secret to wealth from Lao Tzu. Got that AHA moment. Thank you for sharing. !
Thanks, yes it is a little heavy. I will tone things down in my next few posts.
Funny thing about Lao Tzu and wealth.
I spend years searching for the truth about wealth and some guy from 500 BC nails it down in a sentence.
If I would have known this sooner, I would have saved myself years of struggle.

Bump!
I wanted to see if any other expats have blogs.
Also to remind everyone that below the last post, there are social buttons that you can click to share this post with social networks.
Look for.....
See Like this topic? Share it with your friends!
That will help your blog traffic and spread the word on what a cool place Expat.com is.
The neat folks at Expat.com gave us tools, lets use them.
Eric, I'm not with you. The three buttons seem to link with Facebook, Twitter and G+1, and all have a photo of Hailey-from-Hong-Kong. But does one have to be a member of one of those social-network thingies to take advantage of the buttons?
Yes you do have to have a Facebook, Twitter, or Google plus account to do it.
Not everyone does have an account. I have Google plus, but no Facebook or twitter.
It is at the bottom of every thread.
That means the entire thread and all of our blogs will get shared with others. Even if you don't have a social account.
I hit Google plus and now there is a 1 in the box. That means I have shared it will all my Google plus contacts.

At the left of every page is a "Blogs" link that will show you everyone's blog.

I don't get it.
