I am traveling to Ecuador in January and was wondering what are the immigration procedures at the Quito Airport. I have read from multiple sources online that most country passport holders (including Indian passport holder) do not need a Visa to enter Ecuador.

Does this mean I just line up at immigration for my stamp?

Or are there some Visa on Arrival procedures?

What documents shall I carry with me?

I tweeted to the Ecuador Embassy in India but still waiting for a reply.

You will get a 90 day tourist visa stamp at customs. You might, or might not, be asked to have health insurance at your arrival. (new law)

Hi ,I have similar question about immigration process. I will be traveling to Guayaquil airport and I have called Ecuador embassy in Houston as I am traveling from US. They said only passport and return ticket  withing 90 days is required. I am hoping no other documents are required. Fingers crossed.

Note ; Bank statements and health insurance are required.

If you have an American passport, and your return ticket, you are fine.

I have Indian passport ,US visa and return ticket. As per the below link they seem to be sufficient.

I have an inexpensive annual international travel insurance policy through Allianz. It includes emergency health.  I carry a copy of the policy  in my carry on, in the same folder I keep paper copies of all other important docs. I sent my parents and my girlfriend a copy of these documents. I keep a copy of all docs my phone and in Google drive

On my last  2 trips through Ecuador, nobody asked for any docs except for a passport. But I still have them in case.
