Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a good reliable insurance company in Jakarta for life and health cover?

I heard about regency for expats but wondered if there are other options.

Thanks
Matt

Depends what you want and how much you can afford.

All major banks now seem to offer good health cover
AXA, Prudential and many other global insurers are also here and then the expat ones as well.

So really you need to search online and find out what they offer, most websites are in English but don't sign up for anything until you fully understand how it works

For health cover, ask the hospitals which companies they like to deal with, and which they hate.

You'll be surprised at the answers.

Especially cash.
Unfair as it is, my wife's op was done next day as I waved cash in front of their faces.
Waiting lists disappear if Bank Indonesia is printed on little bits of paper you stuff in their pockets.

By way of a note, a couple of the 'expat' companies quoted monthly premiums greater than the cost of the whole operation, so watch out for stupid quotes.
