Good Morning,

I wonder if any of you could help. My family and I are interested in moving to Vietnam. We have been there many times on vacation and love the country.
We have two daughters which we like to enrol in one of the international schools there. We are all UK citizens (currenty living in the UAE) and I work as a pilot for a company based in Japan.
My question is, do you know if there is a Student guardian visa or similar available for my family? We would not need any kind of work visa as my earnings would be outside the country. However we would want some kind of visa that allowed us to live there and of course our daughters to attend one of the international schools.
Any advice that anyone is able to provide in this matter would be gratefully appreciated.

Kind regards

THIGV

There is  visa for the dependents of persons who have work permits (there is no work visa per se) but as it sounds like you will be paid outside the country and simply residing there with your family.  Your children may qualify for a student visa.  The international schools don't really care what visa they have but they should help them in getting student visas.  You may qualify for a one year business visa if your company has a presence in Vietnam, which is not really clear from your post.
