Not sure about the involvement of Pakistan as the article alleges - I would doubt it very much and is probably the usual saber rattling on the intelligence agencies as it happens on both side of the Indo-Pak border. Negligence is more likely.
However, in terms of outcome, what people are saying is that passports were found issued to the nationality referred to in the article which does make it a serious risk.

What is sratus on LMRA?
Just to update.
One of friend applied for family visas. His wife visa is approved as it was applied before 12 july. But his 3 years son visa is rejected in this week because it was applied after 12 july.
I called the Pakistani Embassy here in London, they have no phone manners and no clue on what's happening as usual

Why Pakistan embassy in UK?
Better to ask from Bahrain embassy in UK.
I called to Pakistan Embassy today and told the situation. The women said me that visas are on hold and you should try after Eid. I inquired them what you peoples are taking action as an officials, she replied you tell what should we do... what a stupid reply .
Just called them, after asking if there was a ban on Pakistani nationals in place the attendant mentioned and I quote
' Currently we are not informed of that bu it has been mentioned in the past, just apply for a visa online and wait for a reply'
In my opinion it is better to ask from NPRA.
Today I called NPRA from Pakistan and asked about any kind of ban on Pakistan passport holders for getting visit visa.
They replied no ban. They replied the system of evisa is open for Pakistanis. If there is any ban for Pakistanis then the system should be closed for Pakistanis.
Also think about processing fee of eVISA is non refundable. How they can allow visa submission by putting entry ban on a nation.
I think the issue is at NPRA and difficult to understand why they put on hold all applications after allowing to apply.
Because this an un-official ban. Therefore, Embassies at this situation cant provide accurate answer. They are just saying what the people are telling them after visiting them.

Thanks alot !
You are lucky they picked up your call, i have tried these numbers numerous of times and no one picks up !
Try to call between 8am to 2pm Bahrain time.
Also i checked, today they are maintaining the eVISA system. Lets see if they update us about some new information.
As I have repeatedly said, the ban is UNOFFICIAL and it came about due to security concerns (read above - fake Pakistani passports in the hands of Iranians). This means that they will NOT acknowledge that a ban exists. And they WILL ask you to apply when you ask. And all systems will remain open. If it was an official ban, all of this would be closed.
Now whether your visa actually gets approved is another matter altogether. And a lot of people are having problems having new visas approved. This is where the UNOFFICIAL ban becomes real
So there is no point in calling or asking NPRA - they will always give you the official statement that there is no ban and you can apply. Unless, you have contacts inside and then you can get a better answer.
Lastly, any nation has EVERY right to restrict entry to anyone. It is their decision. And unfortunately, it is entirely our fault in this case.
Any update from those who applied visa?
Any progress?

Unfortunately nothing yet, i have called them about 16 times in the last 2 hours and yet no one picks up.
My company has applied twice for my family visa, and they rejected.

No ban just due to security concerns they are not approving most of new visas for Pakistani nationals.
Atleast some out from NPRA related to visa approval. The following news is posted on GDN. News is very recent. Couple of hours ago. Same news is also available on NPRA website.
http://m.gdnonline.com/login.html?artid=386671
A RESTRICTION on new visas for foreign workers from certain countries has been imposed as part of a move to tackle illegal migration.
The move by Nationality, Passports and Resident Affairs Authority (NPRA) also requires all foreign workers entering the country to have a document of good conduct and a medical certificate attested by their embassies in Bahrain, along with their passports.
In a statement issued yesterday, the NPRA said Bahrain has banned 690 expats from entering the country since 2014 because they had a criminal background.
It stressed that there should be “no foreign migrant workers in Bahrain with precedents or criminal records” – adding that it was implementing strict security and legal checks at all entry points “to protect Bahrain’s security and economy, as well as persona non grata, from entering the country”.
Security
“There is high-level co-ordination among competent authorities to take the required security and legal measures at all entry points, especially Bahrain International Airport,” it said in a statement.
“Co-operation has been stepped up with the security directorates in all governorates and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority to arrest violators and deport illegal residents, who will be referred to the Public Prosecution.
“There are some conditions and restrictions imposed on issuing new work visas to expats from certain countries.
“Among these restrictions are that they must provide a security certificate of good conduct and a medical certificate of the health status of the applicant, which must be certified by their embassies in Bahrain.
“Additionally, a certificate of experience must be provided for low-skilled workers.”
The GDN previously reported that around 60,000 undocumented workers live in Bahrain, an issue that is being addressed by a set of new labour schemes, legislations and security campaigns.
It also follows the brutal murder of Bahraini imam Shaikh Abduljalil Hmood by a Bangladeshi muezzin in Muharraq last week.
